Hello, I am Annemieke, 37 years old, mother of two sons (3 and 5 years old) married with Martijn. My hobby is sewing and crafting just simple things: making trousers for my boys, or just making a box for marbles or an mp3-pouch. The last year, I made a lot of bags and just funny stuff for my kids or for birthdays. I have a parttime IT-job at a big multinational.

We live in a small village, in a typical dutch 'doorzon' house with a garden like a stamp, but I like it and it has a lot of beautiful flowers (I don't know the english names)... And we can make a lot of trips in de woods over here, or sailing on a lake. So I like to be outside.

Mooimiek is the name of my own brand. I like to create new things of fabric and I put a label on it.

Sewing is my kind of thing; what I see, my hands can make it... (or would like to)

On my blog you can see the results of my crafty things; But I decided to go on in Dutch, because I better can put my feelings in it.

I love bright colours like red, orange, aqua, lime. And Birds and flowers! (On fabric or in my garden!) Looking for different pieces of fabric and put them together gives me a good feeling, so maybe, I should become a quilter? Danish design or retro, I like it. But also very easy and simple stuff (just a bird or an apple on a fabric)

I don't like pastel colours, or black.

In oktober 2010 I started to make my first quilt. I hope once, it will be ready. It's just for my love of bright collours and making something special.

Making bags is also a thing which I like. Especially handbags (totebag, buttercup-bag from Rae, see my blog) It's the fabric I love, than I decide what to make. And making applications with vliesofix, to pimp t-shirts for my children.

Since a year, I am a swap partner at Swap bot. Sometimes I think about quiting, but I like the little projects, finished in one evening and there's an other quite card from my hand. And I like your comment and reactions, and sometimes we keep in touch.
