I am a 41 year old stay at home mum with six children aged 12, 10, 6, 4, and twins of two. I live in a house full of mess but it is a happy one! We live in a very rural bit of the UK where the north wind reminds us that we are still alive, it is beautiful but a little bit like living in the 1950s. We are a vegetarian family which is still very unusual here.

I like the Kaiser Chiefs, The Verve, The Wombats, Green Day, Placebo, Stiff Little Fingers, The Clash...all sorts.

Sometimes I try to blay the bohdrain (Irish Drum) but I'm not very good.

I was an English Teacher before children so I'm pretty keen on books, my favourites are The Spire and To Kill A Mockingbird. I loved the His Dark Materials trilogy and avidly read the discworld novels as they come out.

Donnie Darko, Blade Runner, Black Narcissus, Twelve Angry Men, Big Fish, The Fisher King.

I am a mod on a Doctor Who site and have loved that programme for rever. I also like QI, Shameless and Skins. I still watch Red Dwarf reruns....I'm beginning to realise what a geek I am filling all this in!

I used to do patchwork but have little time now.

I spend far too much time on the computer and not enough time geocaching!
