All right, Papercaper!! I fixed my swap to include internationals, just for you! :) I'd love to have you! (We might be a very small group, just to warn you..) haha!

I'll fill you in about the Artist-in-Residence thing—it's in the city of Greenbelt, the community center—but let me wait to do so until I hear whether or not I got it. (It was a bigtime application process!) I'll hear at the end of May. Phi, I'm aching to hear what's up with you: could you drop me an email some time soon?

—yer pal on the other side of the planet,

Hi Philippa (love your name), I so sorry for the delay, but I did get your package from the WTA for Strange Fruit (life has been in the way for me lately). I truly love your bookmark you sent because this weekend I had my mom and daughter over and we were discussing family and I said "that's why I live in Denton, TX"! because "happiness is having a large, loving, caring, close-knit family in another city...George Burns. LOL and HOW TRUE!

Hi, You were chatting about some Canadian punk...please check out the Diodes. Also since its being released this week check out the films Hard Core Logo and now Hard Core Logo II. Thanks for the tips! Nella

Hey, guess what? I just found out that there's a font called Paper Caper! It's kinda fun-looking, too. You can put any short text you want (like your name) into the lower field (looks like a search field) on the page, and see what it looks like in Paper Caper. Then you can size it so it's plenty big, do a screen capture, et voilà you have something you can print out and use in artsy stuff. Try it—it's a fun way to get a word or two or five in any font at all! (Yes, I'm excited about this. Wanna make somethin' of it? =big frown=)

I just posted a rather silly collage that has prominent splotches of your favorite yolky yellow: it made me think of you. =smile=

More in the same vein: There's a US plumbing company called Roto Rooter. They specialize in cleaning out clogged pipes. Their trucks & vans have a pretty obscene-looking graphic on them. "Roto-rooter" is a common slang term in medicine for any operation that involves cleaning out the inside of a tube that's choked with stuff—like a blood vessel that's full of plaque. =grin=

Hey Philippa from across the ditch! :) Why don't you set up a non-USA swap like someone else has? I would be keen as I do have a few notecards I could swap. :) I'm a newbie so I wouldn't set up a swap myself yet. Cheers. Jan in NZ.

Yes, I know the Aussie meaning of "root." =smile= I just felt like going ahead and using it anyway—what the root, if you catch my meaning. i suggest you try to take a moment & offload some of the Nita-stress in my direction—doesn't matter if it's incoherent, just do it fo your mental health...best wishes!

Hey Phi, are you lost in Nita-land? I just want you to know I'm thinking about you, and hoping your stress levels aren't too astronomical. Remember I'm out here rooting for you!

Love, Fi
