they must have stepped on it because even the posts came off the earrings! Thanks for offering to re-do. It's totally up to you! I can probably fix the squirrel!

luluvision on Sep 17, 2010:

Hi! The squirrel broke in half and the pin came off!

Oh, you're so welcome! So glad you've joined at least one...I'll keep my fingers crossed for the other. ;)

I LOVE your idea for the spooky mail swap, btw! It would be hilarious if people would send their old photos. Also--can you believe I forgot to include "candy" as a possible item? D'oh!

thehappyhoneybee on Sep 14, 2010:

Hello there! Thought you might like a heads up that the Boo! Spooky, Spooky Mail swap is up. :)

And since you're a fellow cupcake lover, perhaps you'd be interested in Halloween Cupcake Toppers, too!

Cheers,

Mimi

I mailed out the tag for the "Hedgehogs, Owls and Squirrels Oh My!" group to you today. :)

Thanks for sharing your station, I did listen to some this morning as well as some Tilly and the Wall samples on amazon. :) I was laughing when I read the band title because we totally spend a few days reading and discussing that book in class, what a funny coincidence! My kindergartners always like that story, too.

Yes, I'm ready to go back, I really like working with the little ones. I guess after 14 years of doing it I'm just used to going back after a summer off. ;) Enjoy your week! ttyl.

We're going to Mrytle Beach, SC. Its about a 4 hour drive, but we are soo excited!

Greetings Raelene! (What a unique name! Or, at the very least, a unique spelling, if I'm the obtuse one who doesn't know enough names... ) grin

How are you doing today? What have you been up to? By the way, before I begin commenting on things mentioned on your profile, I'd like to say, "YAY CANADA!" Hahaha... I'm a Vancouverite on the main body of this piece of land. hi-5

Anyway, please send my love to your kitty cat. Animals are absolutely loving and cute. Their antics never fail to make me smile ... well.. except when they growl but if they are small enough, then it seems cute. =P Unfortunately, I am allergic to cat and dog fur but it doesn't mean I hold it against them. It means they simply can't plop their big ol' hairy butt onto my lap and lick my face as if they are a puppy still, nudging my hand for a petting. Hahahaha... I have to keep contact to a minimum and avoid it if I feel itchiness acting up in my throat but otherwise, I make up for it with bones, treats and throwing neon orange balls. (I play with my friend's dogs often.)

I have a lot of jewelry which break but I reuse into decorative pieces for knitting or scrapbooking. Mostly for scrapbooking. I haven't tried making jewelry but I loved beading as a child. How did you get into the beautiful world of beads? =) There's a cool shop here on Main St. called Bead Freaks if you ever get the chance. (You probably have found the place yourself already.) It's a nifty little store with a huge selection. There's one lady who mans the counter but she talks about how her mom is off in some place across the world, collecting various stones or bead, etc. etc. It sounds rather exciting actually... authentic handiwork.

Like the way you plan to learn knitting and crocheting one day (I'm figuring out crocheting myself. I was taught how to knit as a kid.), I would like to learn how to embroider one day. I've only learned the French knot (haphazardly) when I was younger as a way to end a piece of sewing. =)

BOOK TOTALLY ROCK. Hahaha.. a fellow book reader. You are awesome. =D Because I'm always seen with a nose in a book growing up or just known for always having a reading book in my purse (for those moments on the bus and skytrain, maybe during breaks at work), people think I love to buy books. Actually, I grew up using the library as my main resource because my family couldn't afford the luxury of bookstores and it's a habit I can't break. Friends get me books and they sit on my shelf. I'd rather go tot he library... maybe it's the atmosphere cultivated there too. Where do you like to read? How do you like to get your reading material? =)

Sincerely, a fellow British Columbian,

Dee

I love to embroider too, but I still have difficulty making french knots. I get really excited when they actually work. :) So I think that is super awesome that you can make them. :)
I am a huge Martha Stewart fan, some of my friends call me Mini Martha. LOL
I like True Blood also, but so far I have only seen season one. I need to rent season two and watch it. :)
You seem like a very cool person. :) It was super fun getting to "know" you by reading your profile. :)
