Frogman- I think you ought to go over the F.A.Q. page (link on left). It explains ratings and deadlines quite thoroughly. It's not a matter of being "tired of getting low ratings because I'm on vacation", it is a matter of everyone else following the rules by giving you the appropriate rating for not receiving something at least 2 weeks after the deadline, most have been polite enough to point out that they'll upgrade your rating if you catch up with your swaps.

Again, under the F.A.Q.:

What if I signed up for a swap and now I am too busy to participate?

If you signed up and it is before the signup deadline, it is not a problem. You can log into Swap-bot and remove yourself from the swap automatically by clicking on “drop from swap in the individual swap’s menu.

If it is after the signup deadline, please remember your obligation to the swap. If you decide not to participate in a swap after the signup deadline you no longer have the option to drop from that swap. If you do not send something it means that another participant will not receive an item. Basically, the bottom line is do not sign up for a swap if you are not 100% certain that you will be able to follow through with the swap. If you have a major issue that prevents you from participating in a swap after the signup deadline, please contact your swap coordinator.

Swaps have a send by date for a reason, dear. Even if you are on vacation, and you know you weren't going to be able to meet the deadlines, you shouldn't have signed up for them. A lot of people are disappointed. :-(

Josh - I sent you a message asking about the 'Photo-a-Day' swap hosted by denisemichelle, which you have not responded to. Nor have you actually sent anything to this date. Can you at least let me know what is going on, or let denisemichelle know. It is really annoying that you dont respond, yet still come on here and actually read the messages, but just ignore them. Poor swapper skills if you ask me!!!

I am sorry to have to ban you from my swap (Seven + One CHALLENGE) but to many swappers would not join or changed their minds about joining when they saw that you were in the swap . Because you have to many no sends and everyone wants to get their cards..Sorry to have to do this but when you join a swap you make a promise to send and it's a promise that you need to keep...Raven

JustMeSKJ on Jul 10, 2007:

Yes why do you keep joining more swaps when you know you aren't going to send anything out? Don't you realize how unfair that is to those of us you are suppose to send to?

Butterfly on Jul 9, 2007:

Can I ask you a question? Why are you still joining new swaps when you have so many "no sends"?

RudeNun on Jun 20, 2007:

Josh, I received your response to the Find a Penpal Swap, thanks!

SummerLion on Jun 14, 2007:

Thanks for sending me a thank you letter for the postcard/magnet swap. I'm glad you liked what I sent. Look for another postcard from me.
