November / December 2023 - I’m currently in hospital unfortunately, so I'm not as active on Swapbot. My mum brings some of my mail onto the ward, but I'm slightly behind with rating

Hello, I’m Manon, 22 years old, and live in Wales, UK. I enjoy learning about different countries and cultures through exchanging mail, so I’d really appreciate receiving anything that teaches me a little about your area and traditions. I collect written touristic postcards and series postcards. I prefer touristic postcards of an area close to you, or somewhere you’ve visited. I appreciate unique and special stamps being used on both postcards and envelopes if possible. I also collect fridge magnets and keychains from different countries and states. I would love to receive a celebration card in your native language (like a Christmas card with a message in Italian, or a Hebrew Hanukkah card). Any celebration card is great, even if I don't personally celebrate it.

I use a lot of washi tapes, stickers, die cuts and clear stamps regularly. I enjoy trying different art and crafts, and would love to receive any cool upcycling project ideas as I'm very passionate about sustainability. I like hand-made items, local art, and seeing other people’s creations too. My other hobbies are bullet journaling, doing puzzles, scavenger hunts, photography, learning Makaton and British sign language, genealogy, psychology, watching reality TV, thrillers, mysteries, crime and medical shows, reading educational books, listening to different audiobooks, podcasts and pop music, Disney (especially the 7 dwarfs, Mrs Potts and Chip, Stitch, Rapunzel, Peter Pan, Captain Hook and Tinker Bell), going for walks in beautiful and interesting places, doing many adventure activities, and sports such as climbing, gymnastics, vertical dancing, aerial, cheerleading, trampolining, majorettes, yoga and pilates. I haven't been able to exercise lately though unfortunately, so I've been keeping myself busy mainly by exchanging mail and crafting at home.

I love positive mental health and chronic illness motivational things. I have complex health issues, and would love to hear from others who also have Elhers Danlos Syndrome (especially hEDS), gastroparesis, MALS, SMAS, POTS, anxiety, fibromyalgia, and if you or someone you care for have any type of stoma or a feeding tube (I've had multiple NG and NJ tubes in the past, and considering getting a surgical feeding tube soon). I'm still able to eat a little orally though, so I often join food, tea and recipe swaps to try and make the most of it. I'm passionate about disability awareness, and I hope to work with individuals with disabilities or mental health problems in the future. I'm an education graduate, and have enjoyed volunteering at primary schools, SEN schools and nurseries in the past. I'd love to hear from anyone that works in either the education or health and social care sector. I’m very easy going and have a thick skin, so feel free to share as much as you’d like about your life experiences with me. I'm excited to hear from you soon!

I adore most animals, but my favourite animals are: cats, corgi dogs, koalas, zebras, squirrels, sheep and swans. I enjoy cooking and trying dishes from different cuisines, especially healthy vegan recipes. I'm still happy to receive traditional or family recipes containing meat though, as I can usually substitute some things easily. I enjoy drinking tea, coffee, and trying different flavoured drinks. I’d love to try some unique flavours if you have unusual tea bags or any low sugar drink sachets. I especially love fruity flavours as well as caramel / toffee. I dislike peppermint tea and plain black tea, but plain green or white teas are fine.

My favourite colours and grey, mint green and yellow. My favourite flower is a daffodil. Some other random things I like are anything to do with: castles, mountains, countryside, beaches, lakes, water sports, dragons, robins, angels, gonks / gnomes, Super Mario, Cooking Mama, postal workers, café views, lighthouse & transportation.
