Hello fellow swap-botters! My name is Kelly. I am a mom of 3 - they are age 16 -26. I also have three guinea pigs (Mellow, Oda & Piggles - and that's where my username came from ^_^). I jumped on the quarantine bandwagon of filling my house with plants. Thank goodness for the Planta app or they would all likely be dead. Even the "hard to kill" ones. I work from home (even outside of the pandemic) as a systems analyst for a wonderful, progressive company.
I've dabbled on & off with paper crafting and have really been diving into learning more and opening up that creative side of me. swap-bot has already expanded my knowledge & creativity base in the short time I've been here.
I am currently on the hunt for non-label or sticker bag bags (like washi bags, postcard bags, x-slip bags, notecard bags, envie bags, ATC bags, memo bags, etc). If you have any extra feel free to send along (or let me know if you'd like to do a swap for something else). I'd prefer not to have label bags or sticker bags (I would never rate down if they are allowed in a specific bag swap, though, no worries).
ISO Decos: I haven't had a chance to try these yet & would love to get started, but I'd feel more comfortable seeing one, first. If anyone is open for a private swap - I can offer lots of things for trade (an ATC, washi samples, ephemera, I just got a dictionary from 1967, so I could offer a number of pages). Message me if interested!
- I'm not really religious, so I prefer to stay away from any religious material
- label bags, sticker bags, FBs or FSs
I will continue to modify this. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
K-Pop is my favorite music genre currently. Thanks to my teenage daughter, I’ve really fallen in love with it. Here are my favorite groups:
- NCT 127 (and other NCT units)
- Stray Kids
- The Rose
I also really like Hamilton & listen to the soundtrack for days at a time.
My most favorite book of all time is The Little Prince. I had to read it in elementary school, high school & college & each time, I got something different from it. It's far from a children's book (though it works as one, too). If I ever settled on a tattoo, it would be an image from this book...likely the fox with the words "But if you tame me..."
But I will probably never get a tattoo because I'm far too fickle & picky & would find some tiny detail I don't like & fixate on it. ^_^
I also love most dystopian books, but it’s been a really long time since I’ve read anything. Divergent & Hunger Games series were great. I’ve read a few other series, but I’ve really forgotten a lot. I’d love to reread them, so I won’t list any others ^_^
I've been doing a lot of binging on streaming sites lately, here are some of my most recent faves (not all have been finished):
I enjoy some anime, too:
- Death Parade
- Attack on Titan
- Assassination Classroom
I participate in postcrossing as well, so always love blank postcards to use there, but I love the written/stamped ones, as well for my own personal collection. I really am happy with anything, show me what you love. But if you need help deciding, these are some of my favorite kinds & a tiny list of my least favorites.
- Actually going to say none here because even though there are some I don't prefer, I can always pass them on in postcrossing to someone who would love it.

I'm getting started with papercrafting, primarily with ATCs & some envies & flipbooks, etc. My favorite theme to use is vintage & steampunk (I love the Tim Holtz line).
I'm very new to ATCs. I've done less than 20 (I'll update this when it's been more). I'm trying out different styles and have tried mixed media with rubber stamping, hand drawing, paper mosaic, colored pencil & watercolor marker. Usually, I'm pretty proud of what I've come up with, but sometimes things fall flat. I appreciate your patience with me as I find my groove. I really enjoy making them and the creative process involved. If you are ever unhappy or dissatisfied with an ATC I've done, I will happily try again for you.
I'm building a frankendeck with playing cards with different backgrounds. I'm now keeping track of those I'm still missing. Always looking for cards in interesting shapes or with non-standard backing. I need:
Spades: A, 2, 4, J
Clubs: A, 2, 5, 6, 8, 9, J, K
Hearts: A, 2, 4, 5, 8
Diamonds: 2, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, K
