About Me

UPDATE 12/22:

I am going on a trip today, and couldn't bring my whole stash with me. Ratings and swaps could end up going out a bit late. Would have taken care of it before, but had a death of a family friend, and was dealing with the funeral Will be back on 12/30 and will catch up as fast as possible!

Hi! this is a bit of a filler as it is currently 1 am and i should really sleep, but i'm Lee! i'm in my midtwenties, and im an avid crafter who really likes getting things in the mail! i'm currently a broke college student so the things i send will be on the affordable side. Getting back into swapping after several years of time away due to college craziness and brain things.

ALSO!!!! Please, if you don't get my swap let me know! Especially if it's like an international swap, I've never really sent mail internationally before, so I may screw it up on accident!

EXPLAINING MY BAD SCORES (09/2025)(previously said 2024 because I goofed and typed the wrong year): At the end of 2021 I joined a couple of swaps, and then fell into a depressive episode. I was unable to get the swaps sent out in time, and that of course lead me to getting a couple of ones. I took a long break from swapping for a while as a result, but I'm back and hopefully better than ever!

Favorite Crafts

I mentioned before that I'm an avid crafter, but I don't think that it really got across how deep in Fiber Hell I am. I've been knitting and crocheting since second grade and just keep picking up more crafts since then. Below is a list of the crafts I know enough about to fumble my way through projects, and I plan to add more as I go.

Crafts I know

  • knitting
  • crochet
  • embroidery/cross stitch
  • quilting
  • spinning
  • nalbinding
  • sewing
  • english paper piecing

Likes

My likes are wide and varied, but here's a short list:

  • washi tape
  • stickers
  • tea, especially herbal tea. I'm not sure what kinds of black/green/white tea I like just yet, but I adore chai for certain
  • quilting fabric scraps
  • embroidery floss
  • post cards
  • season themed things
  • florals
  • mushrooms/foresty themed items
  • yarn scraps (please sent at least 1m/yd! Any thing smaller and I struggle to find a use for it even in scrap buster projects)
  • little treats!!
  • most rainbow/queer themed things, especially bi or genderqueer pride themed things
  • fountain pen ink swatches (i've fallen in love with fountain pens, but hesitate to buy fancier inks bc i can't see them in person all the time)

Dislikes

Please, top of the list, DON'T send me anything related to the president or the republican party. Their values are fundamentally incompatible with what I hold dear, and some of their more extreme members actively want me to die. That being said, other dislikes include:

  • anything overly holiday themed. Halloween stuff is fine, and if I signed up for a holiday swap then you're just fine to send me stuff for that, but otherwise please avoid.
  • super christian items, I don't mind the occasional bible verse but I've got a lot of mixed feelings about the Church
  • good job stickers, like the ones that specifically say good job or other things like that, I don't have much use for them
  • peppermint tea (at least if i remember right)
  • herbal tea with blackberry leaves or pollen in it. I have a mild seasonal allergy to blackberry pollen, and the leaves in tea can make things act up. No big deal if you don't catch it in a blend, but it's something I'd prefer not to receive.

Instant Hearts!

If you send these, you're instantly getting a heart!

  • STAMPS! As stated before I am very much a college student, and getting sent stamps means that I can go on and send more letters. I really appreciate both first class stamps and post card stamps
  • International stamps. This seems like I'm just saying the same thing twice, but currently I have no international stamps at all and getting more means I can join international swaps too
  • cool old photos, vintage stuff, especially if you happen to know stories behind them
  • BLANK CASSETTE TAPES!!!!! I have recently become consumed with a need to make old school mixtapes, but obviously cassette has yet to have the renaissance vinyl has so they are hard to find
  • Fountain pen ink samples: you are BEYOND kind if you send any of these i will not believe my eyes if any show up

Comment: It was wonderful seeing how your two weeks went. You may have not got everything done, but you did get some and that is great. There's always next time.

Comment: Love to dive into books while underway. Though I know the feeling of falling asleep while listening to audiobooks. Since then I usually only listen to those when I am out for a walk

Comment: Thanks for your letter. :) I enjoyed the Newsflesh trilogy too. Have your read Mira Grant's Parasitology series? It's pretty good. The Woods All Black sounds really interesting. I'll check it out.
