Hello! I found this site on reddit, and am looking forward to exchanging greeting cards and post cards with other users. I am a postcrosser and member of a few postcard exchange groups on FB. Some of my favorites are German shepherd dogs, hockey, history, shabby chic, vintage, Christmas, and recipes. I do not have a preference for what is shared with me, just love seeing happy mail instead of bills, political ads, or junk in the post.
I have a GSD mix doggo and orange tabby vomit comet (cat) that I love with my whole heart (and wallet.)
I am an empty nester. I like it! I get to visit my son in Florida on the weekend, and my daughter in lovely Delaware.
Just started a family tree/ancestry project and would love to hear about others projects, resources, and any discoveries you have made.
My favorite record to listen to while I clean on Saturdays is Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons (I'm from NJ). Love all those Jersey Boys like Sinatra, Bon Jovi, Bruce. I think I like 90s the most because those were my good ol days. And, Dolly. Love her. Allison Krauss and Union Station, and Billie Holiday.
My favorite non fiction is anything by Mary Roach. Love Flannery O'Connor. Historical Fiction is another fav. My enduring favorite is from 10th grade lit class, Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neal Hurston.
My favorite craft is thrifting and upcycling. I like painting or restoring furniture, and have been doing that for over 20 years. I can sew and crochet, but have a hard time sitting still for long periods of time. I don't have much time for large projects right now, so post cards and swaps it is!
Erotica/Nudity ... just not my thing. Save it for someone that appreciates it.
I don't watch many tv shows, but I recently subscribed to PBS streaming to binge watch Sanditon. Love many of the shows on PBS to include Poldark, Call of the Midwife, and Finding Your Roots.
