This is a swap in which you stuff an envelope full of things that are "native" to your country. (If you're from America you could send a magazine or a key chain or map of anywhere or postcards ect.) You only have one partner. Fill your envelop with a minnimum of 4 things and a maximum of 7. Try to be as creative as you can! Anyone welcome! Any rating. If you've been getting bad ratings then this is your time to turn things around! Have fun!

How much is expected to be in this envelope? Is there a minimum amount that is supposed to be put in?

this swap sound fun.. but it's mentioned " If you've been getting bad ratings then this is your time to turn things around!".. won't it be quite risky ?

Just a concern..

katjh 09/29/2011 #

Beware: host is in middle school, about 13 years old.

@StandardCreativity Just fill a 4 1/8 in. by 9 1/2 in. envelope with some things. It doesn't have to be overflowing or anything. Just some nice thing unique to your area.

@Katjh I know but I'm sure those people are feeling shut-out of a lot of swaps. We can't know what is going on in their personal life. If a family member just died and they decided not to do the swap and we rate them a one. That's not right.

@TC I have absolutely no idea where you dug up that information but I can assure you that I'm 18 and am a senior at Shasta High School. I'm more than capable of running this swap.

My mistake. For some reason, your school district thinks you were a 7th grader last year. Weird.

You have only been on SB a short time. I feel you have given some very misleading information. Per Swap-Bot rules if you do NOT receive you are to rate the person a 1. That is RIGHT. You can add a caveat that states if you ever receive you will rerate. While it is true that we do NOT know what is going on in someone's life and understanding, compassion and common sense should be a factor, it is also the responsibility of EVERYONE on Swap-Bot to rate accordingly.

Please click on the HELP button on any SB page and read the rules. You may feel right now that it doesn't matter or that I am not being proactive, but once you been flaked on you will understand. ALSO there are some swappers signed up in this swap that I have swapped with before and that I (as a hostess myself) feel should be given proper information and protected from flaking.

I would think regardless of personal circumstances, any person who has outstanding swaps would want them completed before signing up for new swaps, at least if that person wants to be trusted by many of the swappers here on SB. No one should decide not to do a swap, sign up for new swaps and not expect ones for the prior swaps to be rated.

@TC What school district are you looking at? And why are you looking me up? That's just a tad creepy.

@Taco5518 That's true. But in this swap anyone can join. What if they just got over the death of a loved one and are ready to swap again? Do we shut them out? I don't. As for "protecting" people, they're grown ups. I think they'll be fine.

@CSNYfan What?
