Description:

OCCUPY! Yes, we've heard of Occupy Wall Street, Occupy Boston, and Occupy (wherever you are). I also heard of Occupy The Pasture, Occupy The Tundra. Huh? I'm not sure I understand all the nuances, so here is our OCCUPY POSTCARD SWAP!

Easy. Take a postcard of a place (city, state, landmark), and write OCCUPY on the front, as you see fit. Artistic, demanding, Wanted-poster style,... you choose.

Maybe the card has a city view and a name, eg. skyline of Boston, and I will write OCCUPY on it.

You are free to add your commentary on the back side, or just occupy yourself with sending the postcard.

I am setting 3 partners, because I think it will be easy to send 3 cards, and fun to receive 3 different ones. In our own way, we will OCCUPY THE WORLD.

Newbies welcome. Enjoy.

I don't usually join postcard swaps, but this one sounds fun! I'm in!

Wish I had a jail postcard to send with occupy on it. Will look around.

Great theme! Remember... The "Occupy" protests are an ongoing series of international protests which began in New York City on September 17, 2011 with Occupy Wall Street and are primarily directed against social and economic inequality. If anyone is interested in finding postcards about social & economic inequality, there is no better source than VisionWorks, at www.changingworld.com Thousands of postcards from many publishers. Including lots of postcards that express the anger, frustration and hopes for change of the protesters. New additions arriving all the time. We stand with the millions! So yes, Occupy Everywhere! And speak your mind!

Great! I also love Syracuse Cultural Workers as a source for materials, cards, etc relating to human rights and social justice. http://syracuseculturalworkers.com/

Thanks for the idea @ladydy5 My granddaughter visited an historical prison for their haunted house and brought me the pcs last night - just in time to make the mailing.
