Description:

The Return of the USE YOUR STASH series of swaps!!

They are to help you use the supplies you have on hand and only pay for postage. The series is here also to help put that extra creative 'kick' in your behind to get you to learn new techniques, try new ideas... step OUT of your comfort zone.

This series is also created to be a low postage swap with just 1 partner & pretty lightweight items (you can always send more/heavier, but please make sure you have enough postage on your envie!)

•You will make 12 card candy for 1 partner.

If you've never heard of card candy, let me explain it. Card Candy is a kit of handmade embellishments, typically no less than four, you put together that are ready to add to a card or project. All items then get attached with dimensionals, pop-up dots, or glue dots to a piece of acetate or plastic sheet. This sheet is then placed in a clear bag sealed with a decorated bag topper.

Instead of buying card embellishments already made, this is a great alternative to save you money and use products you already own (stamps, paper, pop dots, etc)!

samples/inspiration

*You may use your Cricut, Big Shot, Punches or whatever you want to make some pretty useful & different card candy for your partner to use on their cards for future swaps (hint, hint --it will be part 2 of this swap!)

*You may send 2 of same card candy, but please send them a variety of card candy designs which totals 12 (if you are feeling generous, you may include more).

  • Be sure to package your "candy" well for postal shipping because they are not always gentle with lumpy envies.

•Include envie.

oh yeah, one last thing, don't forget to post your pics of your projects on our group flickr page!!! link is above.

Please don't sign up if you can't commit. Remember: COMMUNICATE with your partners if you will be late!

The swap description says to include an envie - is this for the Card Candy packages (other than a mailing envie) or are we to include coordinating blank card bases & envies to match the Card Candy? Don't want to get it wrong as I've never seen these!

These are so fun to do-and use! When you say " set of 4", do you mean 4 coordinating items? So 3 sets of such?

leecytx 12/23/2011 #

@toothteri Yes, coordinating items -you can do set of 4s or 3s =12 total. Each set can be different from each other, but all the items for that set much coordinate within themselves. example: baby items, dog items, halloween items, birthday items. Each 'theme' would be in it's own set (since I listed 4 themes, you would make (atleast) 3 items for that set --ALWAYS welcome to make more).

@spotteddogs No additional envie, only each "set" in its own clear envie/bag.

do you have to add them to a plastic sheet or can they just be placed in the cello bag?

My package was sent out on time- I hit unsend by mistake today while trying to hit contact on this stupid little screen!
