Ok, here's the deal : All your songs on this CD need to have one word relating to the last song. Example: 'Purple People Eater', next song, 'Purple Rain' , next song, 'It's Raining Men' and so on.

*** Oh, because I was asked, it's ok for one song to have say 'cry' in it, and the next song to have 'crying' in it, like above going from 'rain' to 'raining' is ok as well.*** EDITED Due to a large number of messages, the rules have been changed. Matching words can now include 'he', 'she', 'they', 'and' , 'the', 'or' , 'me' or other words like that. However, you cannot have three songs in a row, and the exact same word connects all three songs. Example : "The Power of Love", "Love To Love You Baby" & "I Love The Way You Love Me" is NOT allowed!

Minimum 15 songs and track listing for your CD. This swap is international since it's very cheap to send out CD's. 3 partners for this swap.

THE RULES :

  1. No ratings under 4.7 and no no-sends in the last six months.
  2. No FLAKES. Any '1' ratings will get you automatically banned. I WILL be checking all profiles.
  3. Newbies allowed, but ONLY with a full profile and message me beforehand.
  4. If you're going to be late with a send, message your partners. It's called courtesy and consideration.

Is it ok to have the same word match more than once? Eg could I go from 99 Red Balloons to Red Red wine to Lady in Red? or once I've used red for the first transition do I need to have a different match for the next song?

just to clarify, you said using "cry" then "crying" is okay. but would "happy" and "happiness" be okay too? or "love" and "lover"? i just want to make sure i'm following the rules!

I made a list last night, I was surprised how easy it was without looking at my collection. The same questions came up though - is it okay to use the same word in three songs (Purple rain - It's raining men - A rainy night in Soho, e.g.) and is it okay to change from dancer to dancing? And is it okay to have 'your' as a connecting word? I know it's a bit lame, but there are two songs that fit together just perfectly!

Oh no, not allowed to have three songs with the same connecting word? Darn, and I was so looking forward to adding a Japanese version of Country Roads. Maybe I'll add it as a bonus track.
I have to confess to another trick up my sleeve. Connecting words in different languages? Are they okay? Please, please, please say yes, otherwise I'll have to redo my entire list wheedle

hippofairy : Sorry for the delay in responding, it's fasterif you send me a pm, though. To answer your question, yeah, that would work happy and happiness. keroleen: No. We're stretching it a bit here, but c'mon - are you prepared to explain each connecting word in a different language to the person who receives the CD? I mean happy and happiness works out ok, but if you go from 'happy' in English to 'joyeux' in French to 'froehlich' in German? No, it has to have some similarity in the words. However, you could always add a bonus foreign language mix CD, and get a heart from someone, eh?

If I can find a track that has both day and year in it, then fine. Otherwise I'm afraid I'm going to have to drop out.
You changed the rules quite a bit - first Soozy's suggestion above is perfect, later on you change your mind and suddenly it's banned. I wish you'd stick to the original rules that people agreed to when they first signed up.

Okay, found a solution (connecting word is the, ouch!) - 17 songs plus two bonus tracks should be enough, shouldn't it?
