Merriam-Webster defines it as paper items (like posters, broadsides, and tickets) that were originally meant to be discarded after use but have since become collectibles. Basically, things that are too fantastic to toss.

1- Soyprincesa2- journaling and list book for writing and adding quotes and notes sized 8x10

2-LindaRichards- Asian/Oriental (no specific size)

3-Jeremiah25-"Fashion Cities"! So New York/ London/ Milan/ Paris themed items unspecified size

4-Oldest Child- Top 10 lists (create a few lists for me or share your list ideas) sized 5x7

5-jdstanley- open theme sized 6x6ish

Swap Guidelines

1- On the sent by date (a week earlier for newbies) you will send your 4 different partners each an envelope containing at least 4 pieces of paper and/or ephemera (see suggestions and pictures at the blog site mentioned above). You are welcome to send extras! I would encourage any of you to go the extra mile and create ONE complete page for your partner such as a pocket page, a calendar page, a quote page, etc.....

2- In the comment section let me know what theme book you want to assemble and a specific size. I will compile a list by the last sign up day so that you may begin to gather items personalized to your partners interests/taste. Some different theme's are: Poetry, Vacation, Beach, Love, Kids, Pastels, Neutrals, Recipes, Food Vintage, or if you don't want a theme just say Open theme.

3- You'll need to have a Swap-bot rating of 4.80 or better and a well filled-out profile so that your partners will have an idea of what you'd like. Newbies are welcome with a completed profile. No recent or unexplained 1s or 3s. No flakers. If you are new to the site, you may join, but you will have a mailing deadline of a week earlier that those who have participated in Swap-bot swaps before. I will contact you individually about that.

4- If anyone does not receive all 4 packages I will angel those spots.... Please communicate with me if for any reason you have to drop this swap. I ask that you check in at least once a week either on Swap-bot or at the blog.

5- Please consider your partners choice of theme... I will post each person's theme and book size here... so that you may get to work rounding up things for their book.

Some things you could include: cute notepad paper tags postcards ticket stubs stamped paper double-sided scrapbook paper cut to size diecuts used stamps recipe cards/ reciepts/ sheet music sewing pattern scrapbook/notebook cards page from a book or children's book

A really good package for an 8x10 Recipe themed book could include: 2- 8x10 double sided food themed papers (one of which includes a pocket), 2- vintage blank recipe cards, 1- food charm, and some labels cut from food packaging.

Yes... there are more than 4 items..... it's just going the extra mile to make the package a little more special. It is not required... but it certainly deserves a heart rating! -Maggie

I am so glad you are hosting this swap. I just finished a similiar one in my town last month. It was wonderful.... I just would like more items to add to my journal before I bind it. The theme I am doing is Top 10 Lists. It's my new way of journaling. I write down a top ten list for the day- Top Ten things I accomplished, Top Ten people I ran into today, top ten things that went in my mouth, top ten commercials I saw on TV. ... etc... anyway... I would love things to help me make my lists and highlight different things I could make lists about. The size of this book is 5x7.
Thanks for hosting- M. Zarate
