Description:

Hi there I know there are a lot of teachers out there! I have started making homework bags for my Kindergarteners. What's in a homework bag you ask?? I start with a book or books about a certain theme. Themes such as Franklin, Clifford, Snow, the beach, Dora, etc. I have made actitives to go with the books. For example I have a Valentine bag that went home with a child today. I have 3 valentine books, a stuffed lion holding a heart, cookie cutter hearts. The kids estimate how many beads will go in the hearts. Heart shaped cards that have the abc's written on them to match. A journal for the parents to fill out. The object is for the family to do these activites together.

This is a US only swap You must have 4.5 rating no ONES and NO NO SENDS

Please include at least 1 book. This may be a gently used book.

2 or 3 actitives to do with book.

Stuffed animal or character to go with the theme.

I have used bookbags, tote bags, lunch box etc. Be creative with your bag or container. It may be store bought or handmade. Decorate according to the theme or book that the homework bag is for.

  • The books and activties can be Gently used. Just remember if it is something that you would not want to receive then do not send it!*

Spending Limit Let's Stay $15.00

This is for K-2 grade level. Communicate with your partner to see if they are interested in a certain grade level.

What a great idea!!!! I don't teach kindergarten (I teach 5th grade), but I do have a kindergarten age child so I'm in! Do the bags have to be hand made or can they be store bought and decorated? Should they be based around a theme, or the book itself? Can the book be "gently used" or should it be new? You might want to clarify a bit so people won't get something in the mail they are not happy with.

Big news! I just found out I'll be teaching second grade next year and I have NOTHING. So, a bag appropriate for 2nd grade would be GREAT!

Be sure to communicate with your partner on what grade level you are interested in. Kgeslab I taught second grade for several years and enjoyed it.

What a coincidence! I teach second grade too and this swap sounds like so much fun I couldn't resist!

My Daughter in 1rst grade. They actually moved her from K to 1rst when we moved to this state so she is working extra extra hard to try and catch up.

Hello!

I have two daughters, ages 6 and 8, a kindergartner and a third-greader. Either would be fine, the third-grader loves to play school!

Thanks!
