I'm old enough to be a grandma, and in fact, I am. Little Noah is such a joy!. I am currently living in the Middle East, so Art supplies are hard to find! I improvise. I have 3 kids, a husband and I'm a 5th grade teacher of English, math and science. I love to read, do Zentangle, Art journal, smash book, etc.
Classical and jazz are my two favorites. I especially love Brazilian Jazz and Bach, Telemann and Mozart !
The Color Purple, Babe the Pig, Glory, Steel Magnolias and other movies that are similar. I must admit I love a good Lifetime movie, as well. The Spiderman trilogy rocks! I've always loved Star Trek!!!
Shows I watch: Master Chef Australia, The Practice, Downton Abby, Survivor, and American Idol. I also dabble in Grey's Anatomy.
I love to knit and do cross stitch. I also have started smash booking with some art journaling. I love watercolors - they make the pages so nice. Just started with ATCs and have practiced Zentangle and Zendoodles. Fun and relaxing!
I love:
black Teas , orange, chai.
Reading,
Baking bread and other goodies from scratch! Recipes are always fun, and I really like them on recipe cards.
I love historical fiction - esp. about the kings and queens of England.
I would love hand-made cards!
Wild birds are a love of mine.
malas or any types of prayer beads- all faiths. Cards Envelopes tags journal spots anything with your art - not just stickers, but real art. ATC's
I started gluing a bunch of stuff (tea wrappers I loved, postcards I received, small paintings from my kids, etc. Then I realized I was smash booking - without a "real" smash book. What kinds of stuff do I like?
Odd/ rare tea wrappers and the strings with the tags
ATCs
strange zines
Colorful things
Flower/garden themed stuff
Religious items - any faith
Bird stuff
Stickers (alphabet or cute things)
Brads
cut outs from a die cut or cricket machine
I'd also like more info/ideas or pictures of YOUR smash book pages
Things I can send are usually in Arabic.
I am a Christian, but I recently have been exploring (not practicing) other world religions. I love anything from any faith. To me Faith is different than religion. And faith is personal. So, while some of my art may express religion or my faith, I am open to accepting you for what you believe. Only through knowledge and understanding of each other can we live in peace and harmony. Two quotes from Buddha express my opinion perfectly:
1. To force oneself to believe and to accept a thing without understanding is political, and not spiritual or intellectual.
2. Let all listen and be willing to listen to the doctrines professed by others.

Thank you so much for the postcard and the coins! My daughter is quite enthralled with "the shiny coin!" Do you mind me asking, are you originally from there, or are you there for work? Your English is impeccable and I am wondering if it is your first or second language and if all people from your country speak and write English so well. Thanks again for the wishes!!
