Description:

I think it's safe to say that mostly women frequent the 'bot and that a fair amount of us have jealous men in our lives who wish they got fun things in the mail every day too... so why not surprise them with a little happy mail?

This month: Beverages! Whether your man likes a nice cup of coffee with plenty of cream & sugar, or a straight shot of whiskey on the rocks, or he just can't get enough homemade lemonade, this swap is for him!

Instructions for this BEVERAGE Swap:

1) You will send at least 1 flat beverage related item (cocktail recipe, food recipe using with his favorite beverage or that pairs well with his favorite, a book about his favorite beverages, or some reviews or recommendations, etc) and 1 beverage-related item (a shot glass, a hip flask, a new coffee mug, a fancy tool to make tea or coffee, a pack of bendy straws, tea packets, whatever) to your partner's dude based on his likes and dislikes as listed in the comments below.

3) List your guy's name and if he is at a different address (your partner should PM you for it in that case) and some of his drink likes/dislikes in the comments and a few things he might need or like to receive that is drink-related. MAKE SURE TO LIST ANY ALLERGIES OR LIMITS!

4) Remember to address the swap to your partner's man and to include a small note/swap card with the swap name & your username (and a little explanation as to why he just got a package of goodies) so your partner can rate on behalf of their dude. ;)

Rules

  • Golden Rule: - swap unto others as you would have them swap unto you!!

  • Please spend around $5 before postage. Drink-safe handmade items are also welcome unless otherwise stated in the comments, but the value should be around $5!

  • Newbies are MORE than welcome to sign up if they have a full profile (at my discretion) and if they leave a comment with their dude's info in this swap. ;)

  • No recent (last 6 months) or outstanding 1s or 3s... I will be checking.

  • You must post in the comments BEFORE partners are assigned or I'll give you the boot! ;)

  • Have fun! ;)

P.S. Ya'll get an extra week on this one because I'll be on vacation. ;)

My husband, Jamison Blair Barsotti, LOVES coffee. He even manages a coffee shop... ;) We already have almost every coffee tool imaginable, haha, but he loves quirky mugs & paraphernalia from local coffee shops. He is very into single brew coffee at the moment... Our favorite coffee company is Thanksgiving Coffee Co. He does NOT like instant coffee of any kind.

He's getting into beers & wines and would enjoy a nifty bottle opener or something related (he doesn't like tacky stuff much). If he had the time I'm sure he'd be into making his own home brews. ;) His favorite wine is Zinfandel. I'm sure he'd love a recipe that incorporates wine or beer or spirits! He also loves to cook. =)

The last swap was fun, I'm excited to join this one!

My husband is Dimitri. His favorite drinks are good strong coffee, but none with "flavors" or instant. He recently got himself an expresso machine. He also likes both loose green and white teas. He likes peaty scotch whiskys, dark or stout beers, local microbrewery beers-often tries all sorts, not just stouts, Belgian beers, and various wines. He does cook Asian foods indoors and grills seafood, burgers, and veggies outdoors. So if you have a good recipe for a marinade or sauce for Asian cooking or grilling that uses beer, whisky, or wine that might be of use. He doesn't need a wine opener as he has several. He doesn't have a beer opener though. Or maybe a special espresso or restretto(sp?) cup, tea cup, recipies, cookbook, whisky, beer, or wine gadgets, etc. .For any gadget he would opt for artsy and modern looking over typical "guy" or sport related. Asian theme is also a favorite of his.

Just in case-his favorite color is dark green. He also likes bright yellow, neon green, black, red, white, metal, and wood. Nothing sports team related, please (I lucked out and snagged one that might dislike sports more than I do!).

My husband BJ likes beer, scotch and black coffee. (he drinks other stuff but those are the big faves.) He is always trying new micro breweries, as well as bringing home international beers that looked "interesting". He loves scotch, and will make a bottle last forever when his sister gets him a bottle of the good stuff. (I know nothing about scotch, so I take their word for it.) And he has never met a black coffee he could not drink. This includes the 4 hour old cold coffee. (ick) Oh and he loves to stir fry, his wok is rated only behind the X-box. So new recipes welcome. No sports though, as he really doesn't follow any. His favorite colour is British racing green. (apparently there are antique porches in this colour) Oh and no tea please, he refers to it as boiled twigs and leaves, so he really isn't a fan. Thanks to whomever sends him a surprise!

Hello Ladies, my husband Matthew likes a good cup of tea to relax with in the evening. He works at a steel mill and considers himself fairly manly, but does like his relaxing/bedtime teas. He drinks alcohol sparingly, but when he does, he enjoys a good vodka. Coffee is one of his best friends...lol. He loves Tim Hortons and tends to stay away from dark roast, super strong ones. He likes mid-strength blends (NO instant please).

He does like to try new recipes. Especially flavorful marinades for meat. He enjoys cooking and is always experimenting with spices.

As far as gadgets go, he's fairly content with what we have. He does enjoy unique shot glasses and coffee mugs though.

He reads a lot and is really into (what he calls his geeky passion) Warhammer 40,000 & zombie books as well as most sci-fi stuff.

I'm very excited! Happy Swapping everyone! =D

My Husband Johannes Koenig (same adress as mine) is a Coffee-Addict. He drinks it all day and even in the night. According to his Physician he should stick to decaf though......He likes beer, Pilsener and Wheat are his favorite, though he mostly drinks alcohol-free. If we happened to get paired with a canadian Swapper - he would be thrilled to get something from Second Cup - his favorite coffeeshop whenever we have been over. Tim Hortons would be exciting, too. We have a Senseo Coffee Maker if this is a Brand known overseas. He is allergic to milk. Otherwise he has a section on my profile.
