Description:

I just found these online! Scratch-Art ATC cards. Simply scratch into the card to reveal the colors underneath to create your design. You can use a knife, a special scratch art tool, a tooth pick or anything that scratches to scratch your design. You can buy these online at the website below. Lets have some fun and do something a little bit different. I'll leave the subject matter/theme up to you for this first one. You get to choose if you want the multi colored, sparkle, gold/silver or black scratch board.

Also known as scratchboards, by the way. Watchlist for now, will almost certainly join closer to the deadline. I think I even have one or two scratchboard ATCs made already!

Or go to the craft stores, buy a cheap kit for kids & cut the board to size... I assume crafty traders can also make their own with crayon & black paint?

I wouldn't be able to order or visit an art store in time. But if I could make my own I might. Anyone have a tutorial, please on me.

Here is how you do your own.
1. Take a heavy piece of paper like cardstock, tagboard or bristol board. 2. Cut your paper to the size you want.
3. Choose your favorite crayons (Crayola works best) start coloring in the paper with your favorite colors until the paper is saturated with crayon. (ALOT of crayon) 4. Use matte black spray paint or simply black acrylic paint and paint over the entire paper covering all your crayon. If you are using a really cheap acrylic paint then it might take more than one layer of black paint. You don't want to see the colors underneath. 5. Let dry thoroughtly and then start scratching.

You might want to try a couple out before you do your final design. I always like to test things. Anymore questions please ask!

Hello everyone interested in doing ATCs. I have never done them before and I am wondering if anyone would be willing to send me their extras. I am wanting them so I can see what people use and how they do them. I am hoping one day to start doing them myself. Right now the only crafts I do are "paper fans" here on Swap-Bot.

I am even willing to send one of my extra paper fans that I have made in the past.

Thank you for considering this and passing this onto your friends you swap with.
