Description:

I am so excited to try to make a smashbook/junk journal from a composition notebook. I hope some of you are interested in trying this with me. The more the merrier I say. :)

Idea:

Take a composition notebook and make a smashbook/junk journal. Watch Tangie Baxter's YOUTUBE video for DIY Junk Journal. There are 3 parts to it. This will give you an idea of what the journal should look like. I want you to take the idea and use your interpretation of it. It doesn't have to be a carbon copy. I want some individuality to it.

What you need:

-Use a composition notebook (cow printed ones). They are on sale right now so they should be easy to find.

-Decorate the front cover and back cover and the insides of both covers. Please add your name, and swapbot name inside the back cover.

-Cut scrapbook paper to fit the pages. Add as many as you want to it. You can also cut out magazine pages to add too.

-Every 10-20 pages crumble or crease a few pages and ink, color, or paint them. This will give you partner a fun place to write.

-Tie a ribbon really tight in the center of the notebook. This is the very middle where the stitching is. Add some more tightly tied ribbons throughout to help hold the book together.

-Glue two pages together throughout the book to make some sturdy and stiffer pages.

Things you can add:

Shaped paper clips

Colored paper clips

Brads

Flowers

Stamps images on pages

Add some quotes

Ribboned paper clips

small colored clothes pins

colored index labels

Cute little binder clips

Ink the edges for a colorful outside of the pages

Anything else you can think of. :)

This is senders choice so go ahead and start. Leave some room to make some of it profile related. In the comment section below, add your favorite colors or themes. This will allow for some customization of the book for you.

Make something that you would love to receive and do neat work! If you don't want to give it away because you love it so much then you have done good work. LOL!

I am giving a month and 1/2 to work on it because I want to give everyone plenty of time. I know I work full-time and I want to have plenty of working time to create.

You must have 10 completed type 3 swaps. You must have a 4.9 rating and no recent 1s or 3s. If you feel like you should be allowed in PM me. I will be checking profiles before assigning partners. You must have signed in to swapbot recently before I assign partners. I don't want any flaking on this swap.

PM me with any questions or concerns. Add any questions you might have to the comment section too because it might be a question someone else has. I will try to check daily.

Have fun and use your creativity!! I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.

I enjoy all colors. But fave combo is turquoise and pink or orange. Hot pink and black. Lime green and black or zebra:$

Do we do the WHOLE book? And I love red, white and blue, and turquiose, purple and pink, with a little lime green.

Yes, the whole book. You can leave pages for journalling through out it but a majority of the book should have decorated areas for your partner to smash things on.

I'm having fun with this. Actually, it's my 5th one to do. :)
