UPDATE 5/20/2013 - I am having back surgery tomorrow. I have sent out all the swaps that I have partners for except for one, and I will do my best not to be late on anything. This surgery is not supposed to be dibilitating, so I should be able to keep up, but you never know what can happen when they start cutting into your spine! Please keep me in your prayers and I will update again later. Thanks!
I am 58 years old, a wife, mother of 5 and grandmother of 20. My husband and I have been married for 39 years. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon) and I love to craft. I have a crafty blog and have started a new blog for grandparents/grandchildren. I would love to have you all come check them out!
I moved to Oregon in 2010 and love it here. I live with my son and daughter-in-law and 2 grandchildren. And, of course, my hubby! I visit my public library often and love mysteries and spy thrillers. I was once an art teacher and really like working with children. I like watching movies, sewing, and anything red, white and blue!
As well as crafting, I love art. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where my emphasis was in printmaking and sculpture. I really enjoyed photography, too (and every other art class I took). Sometimes I can't hardly sit still if I can't make art. But I no longer have any studio space, so I make up for it by crafting anything I can get my hands on!
I used to teach Tole painting (10 years) but I have arthritis is my hands and carpal tunnel, so I had to give it up. I can't control the brush well enough anymore. I also love the woodworking that goes along with Tole painting and Folk Art, and I miss being able to do it.
I don't like coffee or tea and I am allergic to flowery smells and perufmes. If anyone ever needs to know more, just email me. I don't know what else to write, so I'll leave at this. Gramma G

Card making, scrapbooking, sewing, kid's crafts, paper crafts, rubber stamping.......I actually like all types of arts and crafts!
