If you were in the first swap its time to move the journals along.

If this is the first time you're joining this swap you will need a composition journal and your imagination.

What you do is put your Swap-Bot ID and the swap name on the front of the journal. On the back page put your address to send home for when the journal is full. You can decorate if you feel like it.

Next you give your partner a writing prompt of any kind. Package up the journal and then wait for partners to be assigned. Once assigned, send them off.

When you get your journal, use the writing prompt to write a short story. Anywhere from 2-10 pages. It may be a little more or less, but give some life to the story, but don't take forever.

Here are a few links to writing prompts here here here here and here Thank you Hollydays for the links. Hope they help everyone!

After you finish your story, go to the next clean page and give a new writing prompt for your next partner. I'll do more of these swaps so everyone can have a little story book sent home to them.

Requirments: Newbies allowed with a well filled out profile. 4.9 rating. No unexplained 1s or 3s in the past 6 months. I might be able to angel, but I really hope I don't have to.

Any questions/suggestions, just ask. Happy Swapping.

Would it be acceptable for me to type my story and then glue it in the journal? My handwriting is illegible to a lot of people.

Hollydays 10/ 1/2012 #

I did the first one for the USA and Canada. Is this the next one for that or are you doing another one.

Hollydays 10/ 1/2012 #

Is it now international.

deviousdomi 10/ 2/2012 #

It is fine if you type and glue. And I made it international because media mail is cheaper.

Hollydays 10/ 2/2012 #

That's fine but with the sign up so close I may sit this round out and join the next. I'm still working on my story. The prompt was not what I thought it would be so I'm trying to work with it. I really like this swap so don't count me out just for this round and I really hope you do more.

I can extend the swap deadline. I probably should and will go do that now.

I, too, am concerned about the tight turnaround between the two swaps.

Hollydays 10/ 5/2012 #

I finished my story today.

A journal is en route to my partner. Enjoy!

Hollydays, how could you have finished your story before you got the journal with the prompt?

deviousdomi 10/18/2012 #

She was in the previous swap and so she just finished writing the story for the journal she received for that one.

Nastee 11/12/2012 #

just received my journal due to hurricane sandy and the mail delays.
