Description:

For this swap, we will be sending our partner a letter or note card. You can write about anything you would like, your day, your week, what's new with you, holidays etc. Just please check your partner's profile before sending holiday cards.

Anyway, the catch is......you MUST use at least two stamps, and they MUST be the lick and stick kind. You know, the ones that no one uses anymore. Some of these stamps have such great artwork! If you are lucky enough to have stash of these, you might check your partners profile and see if any you have are ones that you think they would enjoy (example, if whoever got me put one of the ASL ILY stamps on the envelop). This is not a requirement, but would be cool.

OK, long story short:

1 partner to whom you will send 1 letter or note card.

at least 2 stamps

at least 2 lick and stick type stamps

YAY!

Curious Canadian here... what's ASL ILY?

AmyMarie 10/29/2012 #

Possibly...American Sign Language I Love You stamp

lillianmarie 10/29/2012 #

Correct! The I Love You (ILY) is my little profile picture. @eepy I do have some of these stamps, if you would like to see them for yourself, we could set up a private swap!

And sorry for the abbreviations. I forget that not everyone can read my mind :)

So at least 2 of the lick stamps - but can you use a current self-stick one in addition?

I would love anything literary related ( books/writing/libraries) if anyone has those theme of stamps ;-)

susieq11 11/ 2/2012 #

Oh well, I would have liked to join this but I'm not sure about the answer to my question : (

susieq11 11/ 3/2012 #

That stinks not getting any answer before partners were assigned...!

lillianmarie 11/ 4/2012 #

Partners were not assigned until November 4th. I was on vacation and honestly assigned the partners as soon as I signed back on to SB. I am sorry that I did not see your comment before assigning partners, I should have looked at all the comments before assigning. Again, I am sorry and will do my best to let this not happen agian in the future.

@susieq11 Perhaps next time you should consider sending a PM to the swap coordinator if you have a question, especially when you are so close to the sign-up deadline. There is a link next to the coordinator's name at the top of every swap. Hope that helps!

but yet the question remains -- as long as two stamps are lick 'em & stick 'em, the others are allowed to be the more 'modern' version? I know I will need to use current stamps to make the 45 cents as my older stamps are small denominations. Just didnt want this to become a '3 rating' issue for the swap sticklers out there ;-) And now off to sort stamps.....
