Phew! Back with a new computer, ratings all caught up. Swaps all caught up.

I've been doing Mail Art in one form or another for over a long time now after having stumbled into it by happy accident.

My first love was Artistamps and Neo-Cosmology and I still do this. Loon Island is the largest island in the Archipelago of the Untied Sanctuaries, a wholly imaginary coalition of unruly islanders who refuse to follow the rules. Here you will meet such eccentric characters as Winggo Nutella IV, Mossy Bliss-Baden, Lorelei Landsersfaul, and Nelly Tufter. I am the current Ruling Centric of Loon Island, but I plan to retire shortly and become an Ex-Centric.

I am a member of Erasercuts and the Carving Consortium, two groups dedicated to the arts of soft block carving and printing. Carving is one of favourite pursuits on a rainy Saturday afternoon. It is so Zen.

Postcards & Postage Stamps

New Collection** I've been thinking that if I'm swapping with a whole bunch of Americans I should have a collection of US state postcards.

Wasn't sure what to collect but this week I received a PC of the Hudson River Maritime Museum in Kingston, NY.

That's it! I love museums and art galleries - so I'm going to try and collect one from from every state.

I have one, forty-nine to go!

Not much I don't like. You can mail them naked and with a note, and I love interesting postage!

Some times it seems to take forever for U.S. mail to reach me... it comes much faster from Europe, so if I seem poky on giving ratings please be patient. Don't you guys like us Canadians any more?

I always send stuff. (I admit to having been a wee bit late occasionally.) But, If you didn't get it, please contact me, and I'll do it over again. Sometimes it's a one of a kind thing and you can't replace it eggzackly the same - but I will give you good stuff.

I hardly ever join the $WAP-BOUGHT type swaps, being cheap and poor. BUT. If you catch me in one you can always send me unused postage, esp. if you're Canadian or US. And BLANK BOOKS, any kind. Cheap dollar store composition books, pretty things (but not cute), small ones, big ones, sketch pads. Love 'em!
