Description:

This is a swap for a handmade pincushion. You will have one partner. It can be made by any suitable craft method. You could make a small patchwork pillow, or crochet or knit a small stuffed shape or creature like a turtle. Make a fabric or felt cupcake. Make one from a stuffed fabric ball glued into a cup or mug. This is international, so consider weight and shipping costs. Cross stitch or embroider a circle, pad it and attach it to a bottle lid. The options are endless. Use the craft you like most or take this opportunity to try out something you've never done before. Make a tiny one attached to elastic that fits on a finger or a bit larger one that fits on a wrist, or an elegant beribboned satin or velvet one that sits on a bureau to hold jewelry pins. This is senders choice so you can start right away. Everyone should have at least a 4.75 rating. I'll angel anyone whose partner flakes. Everyone be kind in rating, we all have different skill levels. Enjoy!

I think I'm going to make some of these for the ladies in our quilting bee at church as a Christmas gift....the one in the picture is beautiful!

I love making and collecting pin cushions. Since I do a lot of hand sewing, I'm always finding loose pins, so there are pincushions in every room, so I have somewhere to put them. I think my husband believes I purposely booby-trap the sofa with loose pins and needles.

wow....been there done that, and got into lots of trouble with my husband when he got a needle in his foot from the bedroom carpet...yikes! Guess that means I need more pin cushions!
