Description:

Ok read the idea twice.
See if you can wrap your head around this. THIS is the international version.

Take 4 blank postcards that you really really like and wish that they were stamped and written on. Send all 4 in an envelope to your Partner. Your partner will be your boomerang pen pal and write back on your beloved postcards on 4 different days.

You will get back 4 postcards you love.

You do not need to put stamps on the 4 postcards, it will even out as each of us will need to put the stamps on the 4 cards we are sending back. Logic dictates that it would be pointless to put a USA stamp on cards being sent back to you from Australia, as that would not be considered valid postage.

BUT You really need to write your mailing address on each boomerang postcard to save your boomerang pen pal the hassle.

You can write a question on a post it note and ask the sender to write about that question on each post card. Nothing offensive please. For instance if I sent NM map card, I might ask the sender to tell me if they have ever been to NM. Or if I sent a cat postcard, I might write on the post it note, write about cats.

PLUS you must send your boomerang sender a blank postcard as a gift for them to keep.

Keep in mind that You actually get rated based on your sending the 4 cards, and you can not rate your boomerang pen pal. Please write a comment in the boomerangs pen pals profile to thank them and let them know your boomerang postcards have arrived. If you know how to add images even better. ( I do not get how to add images since I have a MAC)

I made this a type 3 swap because it does involve some challenging time commitments. PLUS Boomerang Pen Pals it would be very heart felt if you could decorate in some ways the 4 beloved postcards that you are sending back by either adding stickers, rubber stamped images, colorful tape, or use colored markers somewhere. Be creative, make our beloved postcards a postcard to treasure.

I like the concept but it'd have been to my liking if I sent instead of the postcards, stationery sheets.. :D

What a great idea! I love this! Just so that I am clear on this, though, we would actually rate the partner that returns the cards we picked out & mailed, written, and stamped, is that correct? Or, do I have that backwards, and we rate the person who sends us their cards to be written on and returned? I hope this question is clear, because now, I think I may have confused myself, lol. Thanks for a great, fun swap idea. :)

fiddlefaddle i think its the other way around lol we get rated on sending the cards but we don't rate on the receiver sending them back to us :):)

well that's my understanding of it anyways lol

Ok when you get your ONE partner you send them 4 postcards addressed back to you. and you send them one extra card as a gift.

They will rate you a 5 when they get your postcards to boomerang back to you. So you can NOT rate the person you sent the cards to, they can only rate you for sending them the 4 cards. You can write in that persons profile in their comments that you finally got all 4 cards back.

Muna your idea is a good one to use Stationary sheets. I think you should feel free to use that idea, and make a swap like that. Or anyone else who wants to host a swap like that. How fun. You would get a great letter back on some paper that you love.
