50 year old female, widowed, live alone; well sort of, I do have 2 dogs and one cat who are great companions. I love making new friends and since I live in a rural area, the internet is my best avenue to meet and make new friends.

Likes: Music is like therapy for me. It lifts me up when I am down; helps me really bust a move (lol) when I want to do a really deep down, spotless cleaning of my house & just turn it on up. My favorites are: Dance music (disco & swing) but really love just about all, except for rap. Favorite groups/artists: The BeeGees, Olivia Newton John, The Eagles, The Beatles, Rod Stewart & believe it or not, I think Andrea Borcelli has a beautiful, magical voice.

Oh, I love to read but don't do as much of it lately. My favorite books to read are true crime, whodunnit type books, as well as mysteries, autobiographies, biographies, DIY books and since my dear husband passed away back in 1999, I have read many books about the afterlife, communicating with those who have passed on and near death experiences. I can't really name a particular author that stands out as a favorite, but do enjoy reading just about anything, except maybe gory, creepy stories.

Hmmm, how I miss going out to the movies...a favorite past time. These days, I wait for a movie I would like to see to come out on video and either rent it or sometimes I will buy with the hope of passing it on to someone else who can enjoy it, and they too, can pass it along. There are just SO many movies that I love, but my two all time favorites that I could watch over and over again are Dirty Dancing and Grease. Other favorites include The Notebook, A Christmas Story,

Things I like are: Color - pastels are my favorite, blue, lavender, pink, yellow. Foods: I LOVE food, lol, and believe me, it shows. Anyway, favorite foods are: pizza (NY style), almost any type of Italian cuisine particularly lasagna; some Mexican food.
I absolutely love animals, particularly dogs and cats, but I love to look out my window and see deer, wild turkeys, squirrels, the occasional fox and at night, I can hear the coyotes howl. Likes/enjoy: watching the sunset from the beach or on top of the mountains, being inside cozy warm by the fireplace during a snow storm/blizzard; baking and some cooking. One of my very favorite things to do is play with my 2 dogs and my kitty. They are such great companions and the light of my life. I LOVE the smell of clothes/linens after they are brought in from hanging on the clothesline...mmmmmm. LOVE getting mail from new friends and I just wish I was more of a creative person because I would really like to join swaps here based on artistic or creative ability but I'm still willing to learn and if I do, I know I have come to the right place! Enjoy collecting postcards from anywhere and everywhere and that is mostly what I swap here on the Bot.
