Description:

This is a continuation of the very fun I SPY postcard swaps hosted by @AZmom875 !

So for this swap look through your Postcard stash.

Find a few postcards with the theme of SMOKING some where. It is not expected to be the main focus of the Postcard. It can be some one smoking or it can represent cigarettes or cigars somehow.

Please do not write on the front of the card to draw attention to the i spy item.

Vintage, retro, touristy, and zazzle are ok. Ad cards, and home made are not allowed, Cards need to be sent Naked, with a stamp. Not in an envelope.

Because I think this swap theme might have a limited range of interests, INTERNATIONAL is the way to go.

Please you know to write the swap name and your nick name on the postcard right?

Send one postcard to each of TWO partners.

Thank you for hosting a few of these. I do plan to join them all.

I need to dig deeper for a second smoking card. I found one.

Define exactly what you mean by 'represent cigars or cigarettes'. I have a number of extremely interesting cards from a tobacco museum (yes, such a thing exists, and was responsible for building a university whose name is a household word). However, no actually smoking of cigarettes is depicted, but rather the precursor, if you get my drift.

Ok the only one I found and I looked through all of them. Was a black and white of a guy smoking a pipe, a famous musician.

I am going to have to drop. But will do a private swap with you Emily for the one card.

I found smoking guns, smoking war ships, a lizard who thought he was smoking hot, hot peppers, a cannon.

I take that back after a tough tough day. I ended up at UPS hoping they had a better deal to mail a package to Norway or some other place for that Blind swap. It cost $12.75 to mail a 4.5 ounce package overseas. But at UPS I found a smoking card. So I am back in.

@azmom875 glad you're back in :)

@sleepy if it is just a picture of the museum building that isn't really what I'm aiming for - but if it has pictures of tobacco or smoking artifacts in the museum that would be interesting.

One of them is a package of tobacco from which you roll your own and the other is men with a stick of cured tobacco coming out of an old log tobacco barn from pre-bulk barn days. This museum is about showing what built this state not exhibits in a brick building, though they have that too.

I also have cutesy cartoon smoking people. Take your pick.

Those all sound good. The museum tobacco cards and the cartoon smokers!

I think it’s a good idea for the government to sponsor this kind of program because it will teach kids a lesson about smoking and help them quit smoking. It will also help parents monitor their children’s activities and locations so they won’t be tempted by smoking again. Anyhow, I only use Outlaw Non Tobacco Dip because it is better. I think that this program is worth supporting because it will help save lives from smoking-related diseases.
