Hello, USA!

We will have 7 rounds. In every round you will have to send a package with some goodies in it.
This is round one. You'll get a partner. In 7 days you will have to mail something in a tiny envelope (1.2 x 1.5 inch). You can put anything in it and a note which has to have the address of the original owner of the package (so we can mail it back in round 7).
Nobody opens the package! In the next round you will put the round 1 envie into the bigger one + add something else and mail it out.
There is no particular package sizes. But round 1 should start with smth small (as small as your post office will let you) and round 7 should end with big yellow envie dd

So for this round:
✔ 1 partner
✔ small envie with some goodies in it
✔ your address (so we can mail it back later) !!!
✔ USA only for now
✔ top rating only!

Any questions and suggestions? Please, list below.

✘ NO FLAKERS! Please, if you have no time or money or is there any other reason why you cant send this package, don't join)

Hugs,
Julie

It says International and then USA only - which?

kim91262 08/27/2013 #

the usps website says that the smallest size that can be mailed is 3.5 x 5 inches, and anything smaller is not mailable. is it ok for the first couple rounds to include our tiny envie in a larger, mailable envie?

Do you put the address on the front of envelope?

JanaChristin 08/27/2013 #

Is this swap international??

And why should I send something what I get back in the end? I can even send a empty envelope...??

It sounds like fun, hope it´s international xD

Oh, I'm sorry. I forgot to change to regional. This one USA only. But I'll be hosting International version too.

@kim9126 yes, is it ok for the first couple rounds to include our tiny envie in a larger, mailable envie.

@craftybarbi in round 1 it'll be on the front as you mailing back address as usual. In next rounds will include a note with the address of the owner.

@JanaChristin if you want to) The idea is - memories. I will prob mail a note to myself. Mayb I'll put my goal on it for the next couple of months. And when my package is back I can see if I archived it))) We are just having fun!

International version is out!

You would actually have to put your "envie snow ball" in a larger envelope every time so it could be opened and have a note with the original address on it for the last person. Right? Unless we would keep writing it on the back of the snow ball. I think it would be cool to be able to send the actual snow ball through the mail with stamps and markings on each envie that you open within your snow ball.

@TrixieShakewell yes, you put the original one in larger envie every time. So at the end of round 7 you'll get a package with 7 envelopes inside

TrixieShakewell 09/ 8/2013 #

but I mean when you're mailing out the third, fourth, or fifth round, for example, where do you include the address of the original sender?

streetjewel 09/ 8/2013 #

@TrixieShakewell you put the envie u get from your partner in a larger one + you include a note with the address of the original owner. Keep doing this in every round.

TrixieShakewell 09/10/2013 #

Ok thank you! I just want to clarify because I really like the idea of this swap :) You would actually open the envelope that you get, but be careful not to open the one(s) inside!

I want to do this but it sounds confusing.. Why do we have to put our address in the first envie with the surprise? Why would that envie be mailed back to us at the end? And how will be know at round 7 whether or not we'd get our first envelope back? Oy, this is stressful and not like the nesting envelope swap I'm doing right now. I'm afraid I'd get too confused, but this sounded kind of neat..
