We move. A lot. Since I graduated from college just over 10 years ago, i have changed my address 10 times (not including the two temporary apartments we lived in with rented furniture for a couple months). That's A LOT of moving!
I'm married to a fantastic guy who is totally in love with our daughter. have an adorable dog, kita
- my australian cattle dog mix is getting old!
my favorite color is blue, all shades of blue! i like cows, real ones, fake ones, but especially the cute-sy cows. i'm a slob, but i try soo hard not to be. But it's all an organized mess, b/c i know where everything is. I love sarcastic humor, dirty humor is fun too, and i have nothing against vulgar words (so sending 'questionable' swaps to me is OK! - it's hard to 'offend' me in that way, and i find it funny!!!)
My husband is a big sailor (both commercial and recreational) and we sold our little sailboat before the last move and are in the market for a new "toddler friendly" boat.
I love crafting. Just look at my pinterest page!
I'm currently making a felt barn and playmat for my best friend's daughter's upcoming 3rd birthday. It's for my little ponies or farm animals.
I've made a half dozen busy book pages for my daughter, and i really should get the book together so she can start using it!
I also sew. I have a quilt in the works (doesn't everyone who sews?) and will probably never finish it. I occasionally make clothes for my daughter, but i really love making softies and other crafty items!
i love making jewelry. I'm up for nearly anything in that department. I've used sea glass, shells, leather, wire, plate, rivets, tubing, beads. I have so many beads and metal it's a little rediculous. If you want me to make you a pair of earrings or a necklace or bracelet, let me know! maybe we can set up a private swap!
i'm also into sea glass. i can't walk the beach with my head up, i'm constantly searching the sand and rocks for my next little treasure. part of that soldering i mentioned above, is so i can make bezel cups for sea glass and connect them for bracelets, earrings, and necklaces!
i LOVE books. i like them used and/or new...i like to pass good ones on to my friends or turn them in at used book stores for someone else to read. i'm always up for a good historical romance novel (Rosalind Laker is a great author and gone with the wind/scarlett is one of my all-time favorites), mystery, science fiction - i'm totally into michael criton right now. easy reads are nice - harry potter was a favorite (i think i've read the whole series at least 3 times!), of course the hunger games. steven king is excellent, he's a great writer and has FANTASTIC plot development.
I'm between books right now.
I love grey's anatomy, new girl, and Rookie Blue. I'm watching Medium on Netflix right now and have A TON of shows dvr'd...but i never have time to watch them and get caught up!
Old silver (plated) spoons or forks - i want to make a spoon bracelet and other silverware related items, so if you got a sort of matching pair, that would be great, but not matching can be worked with too and i would SOOO much appreciate it!
SEA GLASS - if you are willing to part with it!
soaps (hand soap, not body soap),
milk chocolate (with peanut butter, caramel or toffee, always good), i don't really like dark or white. But this should only be sent in COLD months, since I live in Ala
I LOVE CANDY!! (if you can find strawberry mentos, those are SOO good!) - nothing cherry or banana flavored please.
stickers! sheets or singles, but not teacher/religous ones. i really need more of these since my stash is dangerously LOW :)
magnets (handmade, please),
fun notepads, refridgerator pads, and postit notes,
handmade envelopes (from magazine pages or whatever as long as i can USE them :)
copic markers (like sharpies) I really want to try these!
pieces of ribbon (about a 1/2 inch wide and at least 5 inches in length )
books (see above) or anything about boats/interesting history/beer brewing for my hubby
i LOVE cheese, potatoes, and bread. But please don't send them in the mail... i love recipes...i use a crock-pot and i like recipes with a few ingredients, ones that can be made in larger quantity and frozen, for two servings.
i don't like coffee or tea.
i stay away from black licorice.
i don't like rap or country (unless it's crossover into popluar music)
i'm not religious and am not into anything religious - although i want to add that i do not have a problem with you or your religion; i'm just not into it myself.
if sending recipes, please avoid cabbage or fish
I Especially don't like junk. please don't send it!
NONE - everyone has sent out on time!! yay!
i knew it would happen eventually, but it doesn't make it less sad :o(

Aladdin, Aladdin Return of Jafar, Pocahontas 1 and 2, The Princess and the Frog, Mulan 1 and 2, Anastasia, Tangled, Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan, Cinderella 1, 2, and 3, Beauty and the Beast, Enchanted Tales, Lorax
If you have any old movies that you would like to send, please make sure they work :) Scratches, missing cases/sleeves are fine, but nothing is more frustrating that having to restart the movie and skip entire chapters because of huge scratches etc. Although, if they are disney movies, you can get replacements through their website for $6. so go ahead and send the disney ones if they are broken, i can pay for replacements waaay cheaper than buying them new!

=D Thanks for the welcome!
Yes, I do have a bit of an unhealthy obsession with Cows... Totally not ashamed of it, though!
Hopefully I'll see you around another swap!
Thanks a lot, Kim, for the swap cards. I've moved from NYC so it took a while for them to catch up with me but ... I've moved to Cape Cod and the sea creature motifs are just right for my new home.
Thanks for the cute swap cards!!! :)
