Description:

This is a swap for winter themed items in a sandwich sized baggie.

Fill your baggie with winter items such as snowflakes, stars, holly berries, poinsettias (faux, obviously!), pine cones, etc. ,etc. Anything that says "winter" to you. :)

Please do not include anything specifically related to a holiday unless, after reading your partner's profile, you see that it would be ok.

Swappers, please include in the comments any particular "No's". For instance, I am totally freaked out by snowmen (and clowns and the snuggle bunny)!

Minimum of 5 items (a sheet of stickers is 1 item). Small things like ATC sized papers or tiny stars would need to be at least 5 to count as 1 item.

Feel free to make your baggie larger than sandwich sized; but not smaller. If you choose to go bigger you may not rate your partner poorly if they do not send you a larger bag as well.

Let me know if I am missing anything! :D

I'm freaked out about American Christmas and I'd like to remind my partner that there's more to winter than the holiday season. That means I don't want anything holiday related, like holly berries, poinsettias, Christmas decorations, and the like. Although this swap happens in November, please think ahead, skip December and think of January and February, so to speak :)

I am not a fan of foam things. Please don't send things made out of foam. Thanks!

PrunellaModularis: What do you mean by "freaked out about American Christmas?" Is that a horror movie I haven't heard about? Otherwise I think your comment is both offensive and completely unreasonable.

sunshinegirl76, I mean people celebrate and decorate for Christmas in different ways in different cultures. Some do more Christian, some more secular. Some do contemporary, some do traditional. Some do cutesy, some do classy. I mean I'm not the fan of the American way I see on tv, for example: (fake) trees with so many decorations that you can't see the tree itself. Also, we don't use holly berries here at all, nor consider snowmen or penguins to have anything to do with Christmas. We eat ham, not turkey. Besides, in the swap description it says this swap isn't about holidays, just winter itself, and I wanted to underline that, as at this time of the year people tend to think about Christmas and the other holidays a lot. I just would like to get something I would like to use after the holiday season in January and February too. I don't think that's unreasonable. I know us Northern and Eastern Europeans tend to sound offensive to Americans so I don't take offense to your comment.
