These envelopes do not need to be made from original Origami paper, but use any kind of nice patterned paper you do have.

Put the three envelopes in a bigger envelope for your partner, enclose a note with your user ID and the name of this swap.

Do the envies have to be mailable size? Just asking because those on youtube seem to be really small...

I was wondering about that as well.

This link makes a US letter size envelope.

She uses centimetres but here is the conversion:

Star with this size of paper:
37 cm = approx. 15"
28.5 cm = approx. 11.5"

Size of finished envelope:
18.5 cm = approx. 7.5" 9.5 cm = approx. 4"

If you wanted a finished envelope measuring about 5" x 7", you would start with a sheet of paper measuring about 10" x 21".

For a 4" x 6" envelope, start with a sheet 8" x 18".

To have the opening and flap on the longer side, always start folding with the longer sides horizontal.

Sorry Ladies for my delay in responding to your questions. My summer break is very busy and I long for our daily routine which will start in september :-)

Thank you for making me aware of this Terry and for your reply.

Since the paper can be a bit thinner to make perfect folds, and we use little to no glue I'm not sure these envelopes will withstand international mailing.

So I will leave this swap open for any size of envelopes, use the paper sheets you have that are suited for this type of swap.
