Description:

Everyone has participated in a scavenger Hunt at some point in their life. This swap is based on the book The Pocket Scavenger by Keri Smith. Every 2 weeks, we will do a new part of the swap.

Each part, you will find something and then alter it. Every part of the swap, the item(s) and alteration(s) will change.

You will take the item(s), do the alteration(s), send it to your partner with a note with where you found the hunted item(s), your ID and swap name.

For this swap, the item to find is: something that was discarded and the alteration to do is: add warmth.

These directions are very open, so use your imagination. Anything goes!

What a fun idea for a swap! As I am not an artist, can you clarify what you mean by "add warmth"? Does this mean add warm colors or add something that makes us think of warm weather like beach sand or palms from our palm tree? Thanks for the guidance.

I just realized I asked that question past the sign up date. I would still love to know more about what you really mean and if you will continue this series.

@ChrisAnne

This is seriously up to you! Your version of "add warmth" may be adding a warm color to the item somehow, while someone else's interpretation may be to set fire to the item and blow it out - showing that they added warmth. That is what is so interesting in this series - to see how others interpret the item AND the alteration!

To take it out of the book I have based this series on (Pocket Scavenger by Keri Smith), "These alterations will allow you to create something entirely new... The alterations are where your genius will come in. Each alteratio will be interpreted differently by each person. There is no right or wrong or good or bad in terms of how the alteration is performed. You might love the results; you might find them interesting. That is part of the fun - not knowing what will occur."
