We survived Hurricane Irma! We did have to evacuate, but all is well and we are home. Thank you to all who prayed!
Hubby and I work together as house parents in residential foster care. We work 16-18 days straight for 24 hours a day and then are off for 6 days.
Our own children are grown. Our oldest, a wonderful daughter just graduated college with a degree in elementary education and may head to the mission field.
Our youngest, a son, and his wife serve in the Air Force and gave us our first grand child on 8/7/15.
I love my Lord, my hubby, my family, my kids, and my dogs.

I am allergic to chocolate.
I have arthritis, lupus and fibromyalgia which slows me down, but doesn't stop me.
I grew up in the north, but now live in Florida. And we moved down here to take a job, not to retire.
Candles burning in my house makes me happy.
I LOVE to rearrange furniture; it tortures me to leave it for more than a month or two at a time.
*Fabric of any size, shape, color, style, or pattern. I am obsessed with quilting and fabric crafting. Some of my favorites are polka dots, purples, and plaids. Any dog-related or American patriotic fabric is also awesome!
*Sewing supplies like thread, pins, quilt batting, interfacing, buttons, and any other sewing items you have but will never use. Even open, partial packages are such a sweet blessing to receive.
*Air Force or patriotic items - anything!
*NA\NA (grandma) items as I just became a Nana in August 2015
*Washi Tape, actually any deco/art tape. This is a new addiction since joining Swap Bot. How did I not know about this amazing stuff before??? LOVE IT!!
*Anything Curious George. A few years ago for our anniversary my hubby bought me a large hardbound book with several Curious George stories bound together. Best gift ever!
I really hate to have this section, but with my medical history I must.
Please nothing scented. This includes perfumes, lotions, anything! My lupus makes me extremely sensitive to smell. What seems pleasant and mild to you could cause me problems. candles with a fruity or nature scent are great. If they are too strong for me, my daughter loves to steal them from me.
For the same reason, please do not send anything with smoke or mildew residue or smell. I had a serious reaction not long ago.
Due to a recent medical diagnosis, I am no longer allowed to drink any coffee or tea so I would prefer not to receive these,
And on the weird side, I am allergic to chocolate so I may be the only woman on the planet who would not like to receive chocolate.
My first love is quilting. I love the creativeness and variety that comes with this great art form.
I also love sewing items like Bible covers, pillows, curtains, mug rugs, pot holders, tote bags, and other little surprises for my friends and the kids we work with.
I am a beginner at paper crafting, but I am liking the fun of creating my own cards to share. I have always loved sending cards, and creating my own is so much fun!
