How big of a packet should the beverage be?

flickmobile 08/28/2016 #

Single portion size :)

Hey I just want to say, I'm Australian and I've gotten countless letters with tea in them! It has to be factory sealed, but I can 100% confirm that they get through :)

Hi, I'm fairly new to Swap-bot and have never mailed anything internationally. While I have read about it via USPS, I'm still uncertain as to how I would mail tea. I hope no one minds my asking, but can a tea bag/tea bags be mailed in a simple envelope? Do I need to fill out a form? I guess I'm asking based off of anyone who has personal experience. Thank you in advance.

I've never had a problem sending a factory-sealed teabag in an envelope. You shouldn't have to fill out a form or anything. Because this swap asks for a snack too though, you won't be able to send it as a flat envelope! You will probably have to do a declaration form (you just write on it what you're sending) and things that are factory sealed should still be fine. Ask your postie person, they usually have the right form under the counter.

Oh cool, I haven't sent anything to australia in a couple of years so I'm outdated. I remember when I did this swap last (ages and ages ago), a couple of the Australian members said they had trouble with tea. I will update the info now :).

I forgot to write thank you in that comment, doh. Thank you :).

When are the partners being assigned? There's only a couple of days left.

Partners have been assigned :)

How long international shipping? I have received one package but not the other.

Depends where it is coming from. I generally allow up to four weeks if post if it's coming from outside of Europe to me. The last letter that I sent to America took around 3 weeks to arrive there. I've had packages from Japan take over a month to arrive! Hope this helps?
