This swap is for one small deco book for one partner.
The deco book should be small enough to fit inside a typical envelope (no bigger than about 5.5" x 4.5") and not be super thick or heavily embellished. It may cost more than a stamp to mail, but should still be on the small side. You may need to make a new deco book for this requirement if everything you have on hand is too large. Note that you are not required to mail this in a standard envelope, but it should be possible.
I believe no one should host swaps they aren't willing to angel themselves. I will angel if necessary, but I screen participants very carefully to minimize the risk of flakers getting in. I will remove participants with poor ratings, late swaps, drama, nasty comments, or other swapping history that concerns me at my discretion. If you have any negative swapping history and want to participate, please proactively PM me to explain. Otherwise, I may ban you with no notice if I am suspicious. And I tend to be suspicious.
Because of delivery issues, multi-profiler/flaker concerns, and site policies I require real names. If you join a swap of mine with a fake name or no last name, you will be asked to fix it.
This swap is U.S. only on account of postage costs. If you want an international version, feel free to host your own. :)
According to the Swap-Bot Glossary: A deco is similar to a friendship book and there are a wide variety of types. It is a bound book of pages which are sent around the world. The person that the book is “for†is usually listed on the cover and when the book becomes full it is sent back to them. Each person that receives and signs the deco will decorate one page according to the theme of the booklet (if there is one) and put their postal/email address and sign their name. Typically, each entrant in the “deco†must use one full page to express themselves. Glitter, sequins, feathers and other scrapbooking supplies are frequently used in “decos.†Despite the artistic expressions used in these types of friendship books, the basic rules of passing the friendship book to person to person is the same.
If you are new to decos, I can try and explain them better. I suggest PMing or commenting on my profile to get my attention faster, I forget to check swap page comments as often as I should!
