I'm eccentric, happy and kind. Kind of an oddball, prone to flights of fancy and imagination. I'm a whimsical type of person who revels in nature, plants, trees and the wild.
My favorite season is Autumn. The air is both thick and thin with a magical pulse. It feels as though if I were to round a corner quick enough, I might catch sight of some little fae creature scurrying off into the weeds.
I'm a wife, mother and grandmother from South Texas. My interests include art - especially outsider type, drawn and painted by hand - native plants, herbs, history, cemeteries, blogging (only due to my wonky computer and old OS, my blog no longer recognizes me), journaling, YouTubing, playing video games (All Sims games, Viva Pinata, all Harvest Moon games, Fable 2, Animal Crossing, Oblivion...), vintage vinyl dolls, handmade doll clothes, posing my Barbie type dolls and taking photos of them, then adding dialog and posting them somewhere. At the moment (6/2016) my favorite hobbies are journaling, and decorating my journal pages, and YouTubing. On YT, I am Suzanne Sky1, if you care to check out my videos. "Like, Comment and Subscribe" as everyone says. ;) UPDATE: Things ebb and flow, while I am still very much into Journaling and YouTubing, my new Number 1 thing is collecting POSTCARDS! I have just started, so any and all types of blank, unwritten, sent in an envelope, store bought ones are welcome.

....and a million other things I am forgetting. :)
I like all things gardening, yard art, farming (very small scale), permaculture, ecology, nature and related subjects. I keep a flock of 22 chickens and sell fresh eggs regularly, from home. I also try to have a garden and sell the veggies when I can.
I have herbs and flowers (wild and domestic) and trees and bushes of all kinds and am mostly transitioning to Texas native species in new things I add.
My 6 year old granddaughter is with me often and we like to play games, play with dolls and little figures (Littlest Pet Shop, Shopkins, Squinkies, etc) , do art, and make crafts.
FOR RECIPE SWAPS/TAGS: I really like all kinds, but some are especially nice: healthy recipes, main dishes, savory snacks and hors d'oeuvres, vegetables, holiday foods, baked goods appropriate for selling at the farmers market and of course your tried and true recipes that you use regularly. I prefer recipes on paper (but not written on front AND back) rather than on recipe cards since I glue them into a binder, sort of like scrapbook style. But I won't gripe if you feel the need to use recipe cards. ;) ALLERGIC TO SHRIMP, but other seafood is fine.
The Bible, especially The Catholic Youth Bible

I like painting, drawing or collaging ATCs, postcards or 'odd sizes'. Making little assembleges, collage, mixed media, also crochet, but only VERY simple things, and I have to be in the mood. Most of my art these days has to do with my journaling, and DECOS.
These are just suggestions, not a 'gimme list'. So many of the things I like are cheap or free, that I thought swappers might like to have a lower cost choice to send, rather than spend more money than necessary.

I don't think there is anything Christmas-y (or other winter holiday themed) that I would dislike, except the spelling of Christmas as 'Xmas', or anything off-color or warped. Favorite themes would be...
Nativity (or any part of it)
Christmas collage sheets or various collage elements.
If we are in a swap together and the Christmas or Winter theme is unspecified, you are more than welcome to send me art in YOUR favorite winter holiday celebration. I am not offended by receiving Yule, Hanukkah, Kwaanza or other art work. :)
