Description:

Are you always looking for ways to save money but don't want to feel deprived? Well I think a lightbulb went off in my head and here it is...

Create an atc of any theme on the back of a post card. Please make the atc the correct size and put some love into it.

Your atc recipient will cut it out when they receive it. It will only cost twenty-seven cents to send the atc in the United States. That is quite less then the typical forty-two cents.

Please rate fairly. If you see that your partner made you something really nice, or that it is obvious that they put their heart into it, then please consider giving them a heart. I notice on a lot of postcard swaps that people don't give hearts obviously because no extras were sent. That just doesn't set right with me at all. Now please, use your own judgement when giving hearts, and noone try to bully someone else into giving one. Oh yea and reading a person's profile usually helps in trying to please them.

Please notify your partner as soon as possible if you won't be able to send on time. And please, if you are one of those people who always send late, don't join.

I always angel my own swaps so please feel free to join and enjoy.

Come on now, let's have fun!

Can these be sent in an envelope? I love the idea of this swap and I have so many ideas already!

I have had to cut way back on postage and swaps and this swap is GREAT! An ATC and a personal note combined all for postcard rates, super. I always read profiles first and can't wait to be assigned my partner. I'm already looking forward to more swaps like this one, thanks a bunch, Doskie

Stitchesaroundtheworld, You may, of course send yours in an envelope, that is up to you. I am just trying to make postage cheaper for those of us who need to watch our money very tightly right now.

GrannysNamesake, Thank you so much for the compliment. I think I am going to host a lot of swaps like this in different groups. I just love the idea. It is so much fun to come up with an original idea.

Pleae note that your postcard can be made out of recycled materials, card stock, cardboard, etc. Don't waste a perfectly good postcard.

You guys have fun with this one.

It would be fun to see some images from this swap to see how people went about it, how they created it, etc. I will sign up if I see more like this. I think it's a great idea.

As for rating for extra goodies, I did not join for goodies although I guess they are nice. I can buy stickers and things myself, but a person's art is personal and unique and that is what I hope for in a swap and why I am here.

I agree totally, LynnA. i can't wait to get started on mine and I want to host these types of swaps in every group that I am an officer in. I have never hosted a public swap because I have read horror stories on the public forums about some of those swaps.

Great idea, Angie! We have several groups in common and I'll definitely sign up for 2009 swaps.

Great Susan. I am excited about it.

I see what you mean about the public swaps- the group ones are probably the way to go!
