Hi all!

Let's share some New year's resolutions with each other and encourage each other to achieve them.
A New Year's resolution is a tradition, most common in the Western Hemisphere but also found in the Eastern Hemisphere, in which a person resolves to change an undesired trait or behavior, to accomplish a personal goal or otherwise improve their life.

Some examples include resolutions to donate to the poor more often, to become more assertive, or to become more environmentally responsible.

  • Improve physical well-being: eat healthy food, lose weight, exercise more, eat better, drink less alcohol, quit smoking, stop biting nails, get rid of old bad habits.
  • Improve mental well-being: think positive, laugh more often, enjoy life.
  • Improve finances: get out of debt, save money, make small investments.
  • Improve career: perform better at current job, get a better job, establish own business.
  • Improve education: improve grades, get a better education, learn something new (such as a foreign language or music), study often, read more books, improve talents.
  • Improve self: become more organized, reduce stress, be less grumpy, manage time, be more independent, perhaps watch less television, play fewer sitting-down video games.
  • Take a trip.
  • Volunteer to help others, practice life skills, use civic virtue, give to charity, volunteer to work part-time in a charity organization.
  • Get along better with people, improve social skills, enhance social intelligence.
  • Make new friends.
  • Spend quality time with family members.
  • Settle down, get engaged/get married, have kids.
  • Pray more, be closer to God, be more spiritual.
  • Be more involved in sports or different activities.
  • Spend less time on social media (such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.).

Mine are fairly professionally oriented... But a bit of fun thrown in! - Expand my portfolio at work to include a new program and a new location. We are in the process of expanding and I want to do my part. I love my job. - Present at a conference. I love my job and I want to spread the word far and wide about what we do and how we do it! - Finish knitting clapotis in zauberballe! I've been procrastinating on it for nearly a decade... - Travel overseas to a conference. I love to learn how to do my job better at every opportunity. - Take my husband to New Zealand (pay for as much as I can... He deserves a treat!). It's been a project in the pipeline for a while. - Last of all... Make it to knit city in Vancouver! I love travelling and I missed it last year... I want to see all my knitting buddies!

In 2018 I want to work on myself.
* I need to determine if I am going to stay in my relationship with my husband. We've been going through an extremely traumatic situation and it has changed him as a person. * I want to focus on my health. I've gained a lot of weight and suffer from depression because of our personal situation. So I'm starting to work out with a personal trainer 1x a week and will work out on my own 1x a week for the first two weeks then increase to 2x a week thereafter.
*I would like to do a Whole 30 starting on January 1st to go in line with my new healthy lifestyle * Professionally I want to increase my brand and work towards an advancement opportunity. *Creatively I want to offer 2 classes a month and complete a workshop for each new paper pack that comes out for CTMH and offer on my website.

In 2018 I would like to

  • Lose the weight I've gained due to steroid treatment and generally gain back my strength/mobility

  • Travel to 5 new countries

  • Complete 35% of my 101 things to do in 1001 days list

  • Smile as much as possible!

Take a photo every day.

Learn a new skill.

My resolutions:

  • make more time for friends and family
  • set and reach my work goals
  • lose the last of my weight by my wedding anniversary :)
  • be active on a regular basis
  • be kinder to myself
  • take more photos and document life more

This year I want to work on myself I want to work out more and I want to have more confidence in who I am. I want to work out minimum of three days a week. Besides working on myself I want to work on being a better mother and wife there’s always room for improvement.

*Online less often. On a certain website just once a week. Checking line app is probably once every morning and late at night, because it is important :/ *Get up earlier. Go to school earlier. *Talk more to friends. Probably jogging together. Hopefully! *Study everynight and don't be a deadliner anymore :( *Don't go buy stamps.. save more money.
