I'm currently teaching English in South Korea. I originally come from Sydney, Australia. I've moved workplaces recently and really miss the people there as they were a truly creative and inspirational bunch. I'm trying hard to keep creating on the strength of their individuality! I live in a very old apartment with wallpaper designed to inspire (or revolt, depending on who you are!). I share my home with my three perfectly wonderful hedgehogs (my pricklebubs!) Teflon, Velcro and Gidget.

I'm very much into photography, facepainting, bodypainting, a bit of cartooning and photography. I've become a bit of an ATC making fanatic the last few months. I also enjoy cross-stitch and knitting. I also love cooking; baking in particular.

I write a lot. More and more as the year has gone on, now culminating in the editing and publishing of an anthology by writers in Korea, and being the ML for Seoul NaNoWriMo in 2009!

I like a lot of classics and pseudo-fiction (things like Picnic at Hanging Rock and Rose Red)... I also really like light non-fiction such as biographies, autobiographies and books along the same lines as "Freakonomics", "How To Dunk A Donut" and "On Giants' Shoulders". I love NaNoWriMo and creating my own books for that, as well as making new reading books for my kindergarten class.

I listen to virtually anything - my most recent loves include Straight No Chaser (all the groups, past and present), Nightwish (both Tarja and Annette), singles from really terrible mainstream pop groups, Mika and Flight of the Conchords.

I have eclectic taste, but amongst my favourites are Titanic, Doing time for Patsy Cline, Rose Red, V for Vendetta, The Phantom of the Opera, anything with the Muppets, Look Who's Talking Now, Looking for Alibrandi, The Illusionist, Across the Universe, Hairspray, Australia.

Guinea pigs, pound puppies, hedgehogs, pink, white, black, silver, tangerine orange, butter yellow, cookie cutters, papercraft scraps, writing writing and more writing, being a moderator on the LJ holiday_wishes community, fabric scraps, fibre scraps, yarn, buttons, cooking, my kindy class on their good days (quite often), the scents of vanilla, strawberry, sandalwood, musk, men's cologne and fresh-baked cookies. My favourite ATCs are ones incoporating ephemera or stamping and layers of different materials.

Cockroaches, rats and mice, doing the dishes, rainy and snowy days with my class, negotiations with my place of work, horror movies, anything drug related, patchouli scented anything, peanuts and cats (allergic to both), anything wangst-ridden.
