Description:

Once again I apologise for not assigning partners on time ... & the swap got auto-cancelled. I am a repeat offender in this, I'm so sorry.

I totally do not mean to "segregate" or "pigeonhole" women authors. This is just - my whim.

For this challenge, we will simply read a book written by an author from the chosen country, & mandatorily choose a woman author. Simple.

This book can be in any genre, including non-fiction, but excluding "instructionals" such as "self-improvement & cookbooks. This book can be in any language, & written at any point in history.

The swap must be in English, & briefly consist of :

  • Title & author of the book you read

  • Why did you choose this book?

  • A brief summary of the book

  • A brief review--what did you think of it?

  • Did you find any special "country-based" features in the book? In the language, in the choice of subject, in the treatment of subject?

  • Did you find a special "woman's touch"? Was it a good or a bad thing?

  • Did you learn something (anything) new?

This round's country is Canada.

3 partners. Manual filtering because within a group. I will definitely check profiles.

I will angel if required.

Future Challenges :

July-August - New Zealand

Sep-Oct - Pakistan

Nov-Dec - I'm keeping this tentatively "Norway-Sweden(& why not Denmark)"

Due to high participation, increased no. of partners to 5. Just add the email Ids to "bcc" :)

For this swap, it might be fun to just have everyone be partners with everyone else! It's just adding a few more emails. I'd love to get even more book recommendations!

@carol Only the host has all the emails. As a regular participant, you only have access to the email addresses of your partners.

Right. I was actually suggesting that instead. If the host simple makes the number of participants equal to the number in the swap, we are all partners. Since it's just an email, it doesn't take much effort to add email addresses and sent to everyone.
