UPDATED June 28: I am officially all caught up with my ratings (except for one swap and I have messaged the member). If I haven't rated you yet, it is because I haven't received your swap. Feel free to contact me for a resend!
Hello everyone!
Welcome to my profile!
I'm a French Canadian woman in her early thirties, mother of a toddler, and full-time teacher.
I have been penpalling for many years and, 3 years ago, I discovered the joy of swapping! I just love preparing something for someone I don't know and knowing it will brighten their day. Even if a swap is sender's choice, I often take a look at my partner's profile to make sure I don't send something they don't like. I can't always accommodate, but I try as much as possible.
I take my swaps very seriously. That means that I always send on time. I actually go out of my way to send on time. Lost mail happens more often than we think! That's why I would prefer you contact me first and offer me a chance to re-send before rating me a 1.
For my likes and dislikes, see the sections below.
Happy swapping!
I don't read as much as I would like to. Got too many things to do and too little time. I try to read about 20 books a year. My go-to genres are romantic comedies, mystery novels, and thrillers.
I participate in a lot of book log swaps here. They are my favorite swaps on Swap-Bot because I get to discover new books I wouldn't have known existed otherwise.
I mainly watch French Canadian TV shows: Deuxième chance, Silence on joue, Un souper presque parfait, La voix, Les chefs!, Une autre histoire, Lâcher prise et District 31 (very late on that series though!).
Other shows I enjoy watching are How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, Fuller House, Friends, Castle, Bones, Sugar Rush, home renovation shows, Border Security, and Queer Eye.
Recently started watching Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Really enjoying it!
I love paper crafting! Pocket letters (full and mini) and ATCs are my go-to crafts. I also do the occasional flipbooks when I have enough free time.
I do cross stitching in the fall and in the winter. I have a lot of unfinished projects in the basement that I'm looking forward to getting back into this fall!
I occasionally do some adult coloring as well.
Looking for inspiration on what to send me? Here are things I would love to receive:
Here are other things I like to receive but have enough of at the moment (however, I won't say no to them if you decide to send lol):
I'm usually not picky when it comes to swaps, but here are things I would prefer not to receive:
I thought these deserved a section of their own. My wishes are just that... wishes. No obligation to send!
Stickers (likes): dolphins, butterflies, owls, and frogs
Stickers (dislikes): Disney, religious, children stickers (ie Paw Patrol, Spiderman, etc.), planner stickers
Washi samples: LOVE all kinds, but right now I am looking for themed samples (ie books, dolphins, butterflies, etc.).
On top of swapping here on Swap-Bot, I also admin a few Facebook penpalling groups. Come take a look and join if you are interested!
You can find the links at the top of my profile!
