About Me

EDIT March 10th, 2018: I am expecting my first child within the next week or two. I have sent all my swaps and am working on rating those I have received. If I don't receive your swap before I give birth, please keep in mind it might take me some time to rate you. But I definitely will, I promise you that!

Hello everyone!

I'm a French Canadian in her early thirties. Though French is my first language, I'm fluent in English and have basic knowledge of Spanish and Italian. I love learning new languages and I hope to be able to speak Danish and German in the future.

Many things changed in my life in the second part of 2017. I'm back to Swap Bot after taking a few months' hiatus. I love participating in swaps. I think it's fun to prepare something for someone you don't know and who lives far away.

Some of my interests include writing (letters and novels), reading, paper crafting (flipbooks, pocket letters), coloring, computer and video games, watching TV, and singing. I also do the occasional cross stitching, but I tend to start a project and never finish it!

In 2018, I hope to develop my skills in art journals and ATCs. I love the feeling of freedom that comes with creating something out of nothing!

Favorite Books

I'll read anything that catches and holds my attention. Used to be a big fan of crime novels and chick lit, but I have found myself branching out more and more.

Some of my favorite authors:

Kathy Reichs, Ken Follett, Camilla Läckberg, Dan Brown, Amélie Dubois, and L.M. Montgomery.

Favorite Television

I watch a lot of Netflix, mainly sitcoms and crime shows.

Sitcoms: How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, Full House, Fuller House, Friends, 2 Broke Girls, Scrubs, One Day at a Time

Other shows: Castle, Bones, Ghost Hunters, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Forensic Files, Gilmore Girls

Favorite Crafts

Like I mentioned earlier, I love to do paper crafting. In the past, I have made several pocket letters and flipbooks. I also sometimes dabble in scrapbooking, but I find that it is too time-consuming and I never have enough time to finish my projects.

Next I would love to start doing art journals and ATCs.

Swaps - Likes

Here are some things I like to swap and/or receive:

  • Stickers
  • Touristic postcards
  • Washi tape
  • Magnets (touristic, mainly)
  • Bookmarks
  • Tea bags (though don't send at the moment, since I can't drink tea while being pregnant)
  • Embellishments for paper crafting
  • Anything Harry Potter
  • Planner stickers
  • Small journals

Swaps - Dislikes

There aren't many things I don't like to receive. Here is a small list of things I would prefer not to receive:

  • Nothing violent (against any living creature)
  • Nothing with spiders (my phobia)
  • Nothing religious. Spiritual and/or paranormal is fine.
  • Nothing erotic/nude
  • Nothing related to politics.
  • Though I like to color, I don't like receiving coloring pages. Got too many coloring books at home!

Swaps - Misc.

I am open to doing private swaps, when I have enough time to commit to it.

I'd be interested in doing easy, private swaps with touristic postcards, washi samples, and book logs (where we write the books we have read).

Comment: Thanks for the book reviews, I really enjoyed them. I really have to read "Murder on the Orient Express", my girlfriend also read it this month and it seems that I might enjoy it. I'm not really into this genre, but recently I read a murder mystery that was a nice change from the usual books I read and it was very fresh. Also, I might check "Friend Request" as it seemd very interesting.
