Description:

The original host of this swap series @LauRad83 hasn’t been around Swap Bot in quite a while so I’ve taken over this series the last few months. With that being said let’s get these notebooks moving again!

Please Read The Full Description

Returning Swappers

If you have a book from the previous swap fill out and send it to your partner. For new participants read below.

New Participants

To start, find a light soft cover book with about 30 pages. The book should be no larger than A5. Traveler’s notebook inserts would be perfect.

The first person starting the book will decorate the cover however they choose.

Inside the front cover write your name, address (so the book is returned when it is full) and your swap-bot name.

On 1-3 pages write a bit about your day, your location, something about the weather. You may decorate the page if you wish. Add a photo, a drawing if you wish and tape in with washi or staple. Use only pens that do not bleed onto the next page please. Don't forget to date your entry. You may add extras for your partner but aren’t required to.

When you are done with your page(s) send the book onto your partner.

That partner will then wait for the next swap in this series and fill out their page(s) and send on to their partner and so on.

Once the book is full the last person to write in the book will send it to the owner of the book, and start a new book

The whole process then starts again.

At the end when your book is returned to you, you will have a book full of stories from around the world.

Additional Info

Some have asked before if they can make a book. Yes you can if you want to. But make sure it is fairly thin, max 30 pages to write on and no bigger than A5 size. Think about the weight of the book and the cost of sending it around the world. Be creative.

Please allow plenty of time to receive and send the book. This swap will take commitment to subsequent swaps in this series. If you don't plan on continuing with later swaps please don't join. I'm sorry but this is supposed to be fun. I enjoy hearing from different people around the world, as I'm sure many others do too.

I plan to do one of these every month so there should be plenty of time to send and receive. Hopefully none of these books get lost on their journey.

Any questions please message me

Please keep the books to A5 or smaller and no heavy hardcover or spiral bound books please. Be considerate of others who will have to pay for postage to send the book in each round.

Must have a well filled out profile and no re4cent 1s or 3s.

I’m feeling kinda sad right now that my notebook never travelled anymore just after 1 round :( .... lesson learnt....I should have kept tabs on it after #6 ... I was just wondering in all excitement where my Travelling notebook might be now...traced it to the person who received it after #6 but never took part again in #7-#10.... im hoping she will join #10 or at least return the book back to me ....

I hope you do receive it :( Make sure to comment on these swaps so that if anyone sees it, they know the book belongs to you and that you’re looking for it. Sometimes people just need a reminder a presume. It very frustrating when this happens. I just hope this person can find it in the to send it back to you

I have messaged @misscorina about this because it seems like she was the last person who received it during series #6 but never took part again in #7-#10. She went into SwapBot on 6 March but never read my messages so far. I hope she does eventually but if anyone here has seen my Travelling Notebook ...do let me know...it has a yellow pikachu against the red cover and is half of A4 size. Many Thank! Or if anyone has her email address, maybe you can let me have it so that I can email her too :)

This is a great idea !

@InTheWoods I was supposed to be getting your book from @misscorina but never received it all so she said she would resend another notebook to me

isandie 03/10/2020 #

I'm so curious about doing this, but I'm wondering if it wouldn't be better in a group? I guess it doesn't matter, I'm sure no one signs up with the intention of not following through...it would be the same in a group.

I’m totally confused now because in #8 @nika mentioned she had my notebook....Just checking on the thereabouts of my notebook currently....has anyone in this group or who is currently holding onto a Red Notebook with Yellow Pikachu on it? Please respond, Thank You :)

Maybe we can all just write whose notebooks we have. I also wonder if mine is missing. Someone has it? Started by Agnieszka from Poland.

I will be sending the notebook started by Kaye - @earthnk in this round.

Just FYI everyone- I am taking a break from swapping and mail for a while due to all the virus craziness so the next swap in this series won't be up when it normally would.

Nika 03/26/2020 #

@InTheWoods yes yours was at me in January. It was #8, which I sent to @satinification Now I have the notebook of @aristotle

ATea 04/20/2020 #

Hi everyone! I have @kayos 's journal :)

Starforest 09/24/2020 #

I have @sydvicious99 journal

misscorina 11/20/2020 #

I have been accused of losing traveling notebooks that's not true. Guess someone made a mistake in tracking down their notebooks. If someone has mine please contact me as I would never want to participate in a swap like this again. I hate all the drama and being accused of things I did not do is not fun at all
