Just a suggestion, but there is goth and there is emo and so many people these days get them mixed up. As a goth girl, that guy is so emo it hurts, just an observation. If I were to sign up and get a guy like that I would be disappointed. But that my just me, thought I would just put that out there, nothing personal, just thought I would mention. These are a great series of swaps though! good ideas!

One last thing how to tell emo from goth in music:

Emo: Hawthorne Heights, Bullet for my Valentine, Dashboard Confessional, etc.

Also: Most people's views of what emo is today: Genre of emootive hardcore music that integrates unenthusiastic melodramatic younger teens and 20 somethings who don't smile, high pitched overwrought lyrics and inaudible guitar rifts with tight wool sweaters, tighter jeans, itchy scarfs (even in the summer), ripped chucks with favorite bands signature and ebony greasy unwashed hair that is required to cover at least 3/5 the of the face at an angle.

It may not be entirely true as to how it truly started like with the band Rites of Spring, but it has evolved to be come known as the perception listed above.

Goth: Seraphim Shock, Sisters of Mercy, The Cure, Bella Morte, Crux Shadows, etc.

Also: Besides being the name of a Germanic tribe, Goth was originally a term used to describe people with a taste for certain bands eg: Bauhaust, Sisters of Mercy, The Cure, etc. in the '80s when punk started to fade out, and with wardrobes predominantly black. In the 90s and early 2000s the goth subculture seemed to change to include bands such as Nirvana, Linkin Park, Slipknot, Cradle of Filth, etc. Which to any goth is not goth music at all with the exception of Cradle of Filth. Linkin Park and Nirvana are in no way Goth.

I hope this helps to create a goth guy ATC and maybe offer some inspiration from the bands listed...I am watching this one and whatever card I get it will always rate fairly. Just thought I would put my two cents in, I know they aren't worth much nad that so many people have differing views these days to what goth and emo are. I guess you just have to find in old timer like me who was around when the whole goth thing started! Geez, I am old now! lol

Im kinda confused,, I would say that guy pictured is also more emo. My son was emo for awhile, but never goth. Maybe different parts of the country dress different.

Wow, you guys are super serious about this stuff! I am totally sorry if I insulted anyone with my emo Adam (10 points for you Peacewytch!!!!) representing my goth guy swap! I was not aware of such a vast difference! I think I'm going to keep this swap as in, and move onto a less controversial guy next one, we'll see what happens, thanks for the imput though!
