Type:None
Last day to signup/drop:April 20, 2009
Date items must be sent by:April 28, 2009
Number of swap partners:1
Description:

USA and Canada only!! Sorry for those who are not. For this swap, Kawaii includes Sanrio, San-X, Crux, Kamio, Q-lia, Mindwave, Wizard Co, Pool Cool, and Yumec. No bootleg stuff!! No Disney, Diddl, Strawberry Shortcake, etc.

For this swap, you will send 100 Kawaii items to your partner. Items can include:

sticker flakes

memo sheets

letter sets (2 sheets, 1 envie - counts as 3 items)

deco tape samples

tiny erasers

pins

magnets

swap cards

address labels

sticker sheets (count the character stickers)

other stuff I didn't think of

So, for example, you could send your parter:

50 memo sheets

10 letter sets (counts as 30 items)

20 sticker flakes

and that would be 100 items

or you could send

one sticker sheet (with 20 character stickers on it. Little flowers and stars or whatever would not be counted)

1 sheet of 30 address labels

5 letter sets (15 items)

25 sticker flakes

10 memos

Get it? If not, ask questions! Please don't send 100 of the same thing (like 100 sticker flakes). I reserve the right to drop anyone for any reason. Thanks for swapping!

Are there any rules on who can and cannot join? Like, what is the rating cutoff and can new members join this?

Zefaniya 04/ 5/2009 #

Yeah I am curious too as to who can join. Kawaii swaps tend to attract flakers lol But I loved the last one you did (I think it was you) of this swap so hopefully I will be able to join!

Sorry this might be a stupid question, but can anyone suggest a way of sending deco tape samples? I have a few big rolls of really cute stuff but I don't know how to go about sending some

I use a cardboard "spool"--something to wrap embroidery floss around, but I use it to wrap the tape around. You have to do it slowly so that you don't go crooked--try to stay exactly centered on top of the tape you already wound around. The first piece of tape that touched the cardboard base will not be useable, but it's only a very small piece. I suppose that any little scrap of cardboard would do the trick! This way, the sample is flat enough to mail normally.

Hi! I am interested in this swap. I just joined swap-bot, though, so I don't have any ratings. Still, I don't consider myself to be a flaker--I am totally dependable and a prompt mailer. I work right across a post office, so mailing out is not a problem. Please let me know if I can join or not. If can, can. If cannot, cannot. :)

Can newbies join this??

Thanks for the tip ilove2smile!!

I have a question about the deco tape samples. How much would each sample count for? I'd be sending a generous amount like a yard per design. I'm just wondering if each sample would count as 1 item or less than 1.

I will review newbies on an individual basis. If you get flaked, rest assured that once I out the flaker, you will get your swap, either from me or from another angel.

As for the deco tape thing, I think 1-2 feet is an acceptable length. It would only count as one item though. I love doing them. You can put several on a strip of cardboard covered with plastic wrap or wax paper. I use the plastic covering that is on most 4x6 memo pads. The tape peels off really easily from that.

What counts as deco tape? Does it have to have Hello Kitty, San-X, Crux, Kamio, Q-lia, Mindwave, Wizard Co, Pool Cool, and Yumec etc? Or can it be just decorated with cupcakes? hearts? polkadot? words? so on...
