Description:

This will be a series of swaps for the entire alphabet.

You will make three chunky pages for one partner. The letters for this swap are D, E, & F. The letter will have to be somewhere on the page as well as one or two objects to represent the letter. So, for example, if you were making a page for the letter J you would put the letter J somewhere on the page and put a jack-o-lattern or jungle on the page.

Chunky pages are 4.5” across and 4” down with .5” on the left kept empty for binding. Please do not punch or cut out holes since everyone chooses to bind their pages differently. These pages are meant to be CHUNKY so try your hardest to make them so. Since the pages will get heavy please use cardboard (cereal boxes) or very sturdy cardstock for the backing. If you use cardboard please cover it with paper on the back.

This is open to anybody with a 4.85 or higher, international, chunky beginners or pros. No recent low ratings or no-sends. IF YOU'RE A FLAKER OR NON-RATER DON'T BOTHER!

If you have any questions feel free to ask them in the comments or PM me.

Three pages, one for each letter D-F, one partner. Since this is a more time consuming swap I'll be giving you plenty of time to create awesome pages, so please do your best!

What a great idea! I might do this for myself as I'm too new to join the group. So you mean a 4" X 4" square with an extra 1/2" on the left side for binding? I'd like to see some finished projects because I can't visualize a binding. If the pages are too chunky, would it become a tall or wide thing?

You have the size correct :-) Different people bind different ways. Some people glue everything like a spine, others use ribbon or yarn to bind. The book will end up being very thick. If you were to compare a 50 page novel to a 300 page novel it would look more like a squat 300 page novel.

Flickr and Google have some great pictures of chunky pages if you want to see some good examples. You can search for binded chunky books too and see if they give you a good idea of what it looks like all put together.

Hello Everyone,

I missed the first swap for letters A-C. So, I am needing a swapper who would be interested in doing a private swap for A-C. If anyone is interested, please send me an e-mail and we can work it out. Thanks for considering a private swap where we can help each other out. Have a Great Week of Swapping!

This one looks awesome. I'm a little confused by the cardboard thing. I'll have to look at flicker. I would also be interested in a privare swap for abc. I'll contact you, sleepingrover
