I am a former elementary school teacher who was placed on disability about 5 years ago due to poor and serious health concerns. I am the oldest of 5 children and I have had to move home so my mother can be my caregiver. I am an aunt to now 8 children that bring me much joy and make me smile everyday. Number 8 will be born on Feb. 1st and I will be an aunt again to a little boy.

I like country music. I also like folk music. I am also into Josh Groban and Andre Bocelli. I am in to rock-n-roll from the 70s and 80s, but have not gotten into the music of the present day. I also like World music and instrumental music especially from Windham Hills--George Winston.

I love romances. I love ones that leave you with a message or with things you need to think about. I love movies that leave you questioning after you have left the theater. I also enjoy movies that make me laugh. There are some children and teen movies I have enjoyed. I am a big fan of the TCM channel which is Turner Classic Movies. I especially like when they have Bettie Davis, Joan Crawford, George Brent, Irene Dunne, Jimmy Stewart, Ann Harding, and Myrna Loy movies. There are others as well, but this gives you a little clearer picture of my likes in the movie area.

I enjoy shows that have a mystery, leave you with many suspects and you have to try to figure out who did it. I always love when Hallmark puts on a special movie because there has never been one that I have not liked. I have come to find I like science fiction. I enjoy Masterpiece Theatre works they are presently doing called "The Complete Jane Austen." I also watch "Torchwood" on the BBC America channel. I am a big "Law and Order" fam. I love "Lost." I also enjoy "Kyle XY," and "Wildfire." I have others but this information clarifies my likes a little bit more.

I am an avid scrapbooker, card maker, paper crafter. I have also been learning how to quilt. I am always finding ways to take new classes that will bend and stretch me. I like collage and include it in much of my art. I also use art to express myself when I cannot find the words. I've also started working with beads and am at the beginning stages of quilling. I also like to do stamping art in a variety of ways.

My most favorite color are any shades of purple. A close second are any shades of blue. A close third are any shades of pink.
