Have you had a partner flake on you for a swap? Feel a bit disillusioned? Want to interrogate every person in the next swap you join?!!!

Me too! But, maybe we can do something about it to make swapping feel worthwhile! And, if you have not been flaked on, but have that cheer in your heart to share with others, this has a little profile surprise twist! :D

Here are the guidelines.

  1. You must have a rating of 4.8 and must NOT have any unexplained no sends. If you can explain a 1, and really think you've been unjustly rated, you MUST contact me, or you will be banned. I check everyone that signs up.

  2. It can't be a crafty swap. Some people are not crafty and no one wants to be disappointed. Again. Please contact your partner if you are willing to do a crafty swap or contact them if you know your partner is crafty. Partners still have the right to choose which swap they would like to angel. :)

  3. List the swaps which you have been flaked on then list it/them in the discussion area. Please be sure to include a link to the swap so your partner can read the details. If you had 2 or more partners for the swap, please do not duplicate. To make this a little different - please feel free to add "Profile Swap" in the forum below which will be for our purposes a $10 minimum swap based solely on your profile wishes and likes.

  4. You will have one partner - each partner will have the option to choose which swap they'd like to angel. Please communicate with them when necessary! (Communication is a good thing!) ;)

You have a month to come up with your package. I know everyone's busy, so I figured a month would be a fair time-line.

LOL! It seems to work pretty well. This is the 7th swap I've hosted and, while it's unfortunate, the people the join are always fabulous. And, anyone can join...no one left out.

I was really sad that the swap coordinator who was my swap partner never send me my part of this swap.. http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/36714, so I would be very very happy when somebody would angel!

ok, just to make sure I understand correctly.. once we get our partner, we check out the swaps they got flaked on, and if its something we CAN do, then we can fullfill that swap OR we can do a profile surprise minimum $10US?

@crowsfox - You should try to fulfill the swap; that's why I asked for non craft making swaps in particular. But, if you are truly unable to fulfill the requested swap, some have altered it a bit to fulfill the swap to the best of their ability and this can definitely include a profile surprise.

The only addition is that if you don't have a swap you've been flaked on, you can put in the forums 'profile surprise' instead of a link to a swap.

I was flaked on the following swap: http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/33758. (A Fun Scrapbooking Swap). The coordinator didn't even angel. I would love to have someone angel this one -- even if they can't fulfill the scrapbooking items, a profile surprise would be great. I would love to angel someone!!!! Let me know.

I wanted to say to my swap-partner that if she wants to angel the craftmagazine-swap, any craftmagazine would be fine (except for knitting), and it doesn't have to be a new one, if it is still in a good condition, that's also fine for me! I'm not a difficult person lol :-)
