Description:

For this swap, you will have to decorate a whimsy jar of at least 25 ounces, (glass or plastic, but plastics are less likey to break..), and put in it one atc, one decorated 32 count matchbox, and one suprise, all based off of the user's profile. The suprise must be small enough to get into the jar, and worth no more than 5 dollars. To be in this swap, you must be willing to dedicate some time into the project. I origionally had it posted that this will be international, but i changed it because shipping may be horrendous if your partner is in a country very far away, so sorry, its u.s only now.. Also, please have your profile fully filled out so that you can help your partner know what kinda stuff you like. In addition to filling the jar up with a matchbox, atc, and suprise, you must stuff it with small things you think that person would like, including buttons, trinkets, small toys, bells, ribbon, things like that etc.. Its basically your standard whimsy jar, except in addition to all the regular goodies you would put in one, you must find a way to fit an atc, matchbox, and suprise. Hope u like my swap and comment or message me for questions. :]

I can't afford to join right now, but I do have a recommendation. If you can get a plastic jar, like a peanut butter or mayonaisse jar, it will have a better chance of making it to it's destination :)

wow i never thought of that, thanks! So plastics better?

BrennenB 09/25/2009 #

I've been saving a peanut jar for a whimsey. I'll have to consider shipping costs before joining, but will be watching in the meantime.

revolutionoise 09/25/2009 #

cool. i also switched it to us only to help keep costs lowered.

Shipping plastic will definately lower the shipping cost! Wow, how come I didn't think of that? Watching, maybe...

Thanks for changing to US, that helps. 25 oz is a big jar to fill! I'll watch for now.

@revolutionoise , I love this idea but is there any way you might consider stretching the send by date a little further? I am just worried about getting together a big whimsy jar with so many profile based things in 2 weeks. Thanks!

revolutionoise 09/30/2009 #

how many more days do you think you would need? I will level with you :]

Faerlyfaerie 10/ 1/2009 #

Actually I just realized the following week is the week I'm going out of town so unless you made it the last week in October that wouldn't work. Guess I can't play this time :( if it goes well please host another!
