Who am I?

*Non-smoking, Virgo crafter who loves to drink coffee & tea while chatting online. I own plants & kids, but no pets, and together with my hubby own a cozy home with yard and privacy fence.

Had "A-HA" moment this summer. I'll be 45 this fall. That's mid-life. Change is in the air. Time to create... MY LIFE: Part II.

In my alternate reality I ...

~ Spin wool into yarn
~ Use a bow and arrow to hunt
~ Grow slow food

In my current reality I ...

~ Make t-shirt yarn
~ Play a mean game of corn hole
~ Grow dandelions

Favorite Things

TO DO: crochet, read, play instruments, doodle, dance, and upcycle.

TO SWAP: PUZZLE LETTERS!!! Handmade postcards, notecards, stationery, and postalettes. Upcycled envies, mail art and long chatty letters.

Donut Pincushion.....Yum!

More About Me

BOOKS: My dedication to reading comes in waves. Instead of reading a bit every day, I'll sit for 3 hours straight and get through at least 1/2 of a book. Favorite Genres: YA, historical romance, fantasy/fiction, immortals, murder mysteries.

"Visit Your Local Library"

And check these out:
... ... ...
~ Twilight Series ... by Stephenie Meyer (YA - vamps & weres)
~ The Thirteenth Tale ... by Diane Setterfield (mystery re: fictional famous writer)
~ Hex Hall ... by Rachel Hawkins (YA - boarding school for errant witches, weres, fairies - laugh out loud funny!)
~ Homocide in Hardcover ... by Kate Carlisle (fun murder mystery)
~ The Immortal Instruments series ,,, by Cassandra Clare (paranormal teen action/romance)
~ The Fever series ... by Katherine Moning (very steamy paranormal murder mystery)

MOVIES: Now THAT'S the TICKET! I like the big blockbuster, action-packed stuff.

Star Wars, Star Trek, Matrix, HP, Push, Jumper, Avatar, Transformers, Paycheck, Bourne, Underworld, Minority Report, Elektra, AVP, Eagle Eye - love special effects!

No drama & horror movies for me. There's enough of that in the real world.

The Sorting Hat Quiz puts me in the house of:

BIG music is the BEST! Horns, harmony, hearty tunes. John Williams Compositions, Queen, The Police, Van Halen, Scorpions, Chicago, Foreigner, KISS, TSO, Men At Work, Kansas, Muse, Benise, Tchaikovsky, En Vogue, Toto, Black Eyed Peas, Billy Joel, Paramore, Earth Wind & Fire, Epica and lots more!

John Williams Is The Man!

I'll listen to just about anything except Opera and twangy country music.

Things I Like

DESIGNS: Think Old World, India-n patterns, Mexican tiles, Mediterranean mosaics, Nautical Stars, Sea creatures, French-y flourishes, mazes/labyrinths, Stained Glass and Zentangles.

COLORS: Not a fan of neon. Other than that, surprise me.

PERSONAL STYLE: Casual. I am a blue jeans and tank top girl. Hair in a scrunchie, flip-flops & bracelets. Dressing up means adding some toe rings and searching high and low for my makeup bag. I try not to do this very often.

Comment: Wow, Stephanie, that is such a nice package with some very nice extra - I guess t-shirt yarn is not that heavy as I thought and we could swap it too. Scrunchies are wonderful- I already wore a teal color one. And dischcloths are so nice- can't wait to try the one with netting for scrubbing - you could sell them on etsy, if you still don't. And yes, I created a group- please join it. After holidays, I will start inviting people and creating swaps for it.
Response: T-shirt yarn is pretty cool, huh? I'm so glad you liked all of the crocheted goodies in your package. The scrubbies are my newest favorite things to make. :o) Thanks so much for the nice comments, and the rate & heart!

Comment: That HP yarnball was fantastic! I would have geeked out like noones business if I was your swapping partner. Art commitment issues - hahaha! Beer bread is prob one of the staple foods here during rugby matches and I grew up watching my Mom making them. Very yum with jelly. Your kiddos are GORGEOUS and look so happy. Send recipe please - hahaha. I think I have all the ingredients :) Your swap idea sounds really cool :)
Response: Glad you like the e-mail. :o) This was a great swap for getting to know our group members better. Yeah, beer bread is the bomb! Thanks so much for the nice comments, rate and heart!
