Description:

This is an international swap.

If you love to have a nice variety of linens for your kitchen, then this swap is for you! It doesn't matter if you knit or crochet, appliqué, embroider or embellish with trims and laces - all craft methods are welcome. Put plenty of your own creativity into creating these linens! You can knit or crochet a washcloth or towel from scratch, or you can buy a plain towel and embellish with embroidery, lace or trims – let your imagination go wild!

For the purposes of this swap, we will define kitchen linens as wash cloths, tea towels, and hand towels.

Wash cloths – I hope pretty self-explanatory, let's make them nice and big for wiping down faces and hands as well as dirty tables and dishes - 8" or larger in the smallest dimension.

Tea towels – also referred to as sack towels or dish towels, these are usually woven cotton.

Hand towels – primarily thought of as terry cloth, can also be knitted or any other absorbent fabric you want to dry your hands on after washing up.

Each person will have one partner. To your partner you will send:

Three (3) kitchen linens items. You may choose one of each to make a nice set, or three of a kind, or any combination. If you use a pattern to create your items and your partner has your craft method listed as an interest, you might include the pattern.

Please consider your partner's color preferences and other hints they may have listed in their profile. Create a nice package that will be a pleasure to receive and put to use.

Please do not ask for any particular combination of items from the suggestions above.

Because you will have to shop for supplies and then make three items, you will have approximately one month from the time sign-ups end to send out your package.

Experienced swappers who show a reliable swapping history and newbies with fully completed profiles are welcome. If you feel you have been rated unfairly, please PM me to discuss.

Any questions, please contact me.

This will be fun, pretty, and practical.

Craft on!
